Wow, a birdie on the first hole, a par on 10 & 11 and another birdie on 16. Three were improvements to my Dream Round. These are my 2nd and 3rd birdies ever. On #18, I watched the three guys in my foursome (handicaps +3,+16, & +30); top, shank, and OB their tee shots. Apparently, I'm still not experienced enough to ignore those preceeding pictures so I got up and topped mine too (which landed in some tall rough and led the way to an 8 and blew my 90's final score). Oh well, back to practicing more before my next time out. Continued below scorecard.

An unlikely birdie.
The #1 at LV at 465yds is a dogleg left then up a hill. I have cut the corner several times but lately have been running it just to the right of the corner for safer course management. This time however, my tee shot was a push slice 220yds into the right rough. Nothing like adding yardage on a hole. I figured oh well, I only waste one shot to get it back to where it should be. I punched it out to the middle of the fairway still 190yds from the middle of the green. I pulled out my new Jackaroo II (see product reviews), I hit a shot that landed the ball seven feet from the pin and then one putted for the birdie. My key learning - A poor tee shot does not automatically equate to a probable bogey or worse. I could still make birdie or par. So don't give up on the hole prematurely.
