Due to circumstances beyond my control, moving and having to acquire a different Internet Service provider, BUFFSGOLF.COM will be shut down after Oct 31st.  Buffsgolf.com currently points to a Verizon web address and will have to be pointed to the new address when acquired after I relocate. If I have your email address, I will notify you when/if the site is reactivated.  Meantime, thanks for your support and kind words.

LEARNING GOLF AFTER "50"

In publishing this online journal, I will record my thoughts and experiences in attempting to gain knowledge and skills enroute to becoming a good golfer. This will also be the platform for my book on the subject from a new golfer's perspective.

Hopefully, this site might help a new golfer have a better experience and save some time, money and frustration getting started. It may also offer the experienced golfer a new idea or two, insight on a product, or just a little entertainment.

How long does it take for a new person to learn and execute the game of golf using the new training techniques, products and technologies that are available today?

Since golf is such a big dollar industry and everything related to performing the sport is sales based, how do you weed through the hype and find out what really works and what doesn't without trying everything that looks logical?

Most articles, books, and videos are from the sales or instructor perspective. This online journal begins an ongoing informational series from a "new golfer".

I will be giving you the real story about products you may have seen on the market (CDs/DVDs/videos, clubs, training aids), techniques, and technologies that I have experienced. I have already tested a number of products. Several golfers I have played with were impressed with (and were going to buy) products after seeing me use them.

I hope you enjoy this site. Send me an e-mail to let me know what you think (or to contribute articles or ideas). I'll be updating frequently, so check back often!
