| The Initial "O" |

|
| This shows the O illumination. |
This was done with real gold leaf for the O, with gouache and shell gold. You might notice that in addition to the usual
leaves, and rather than doing the odd little gilded "balls" in the vinework, I did gilded "mouse ear"
balls.

| Detail - Bottom |

|
| This shows Prince Phillip fighting Maleficent in dragon form. |
You can see more mouse ears here. Interesting, about 2 years after doing this scroll I was at the Getty Museum
and there was a text on display from the 14th Century which had the exact same "mouse ear" details in the border illumination.
So I guess you can say I documented it "after the fact".

| Maleficent's Raven |

|
| Maleficents little evil pet. |
Since this French style of illumination usually included birds sitting in the ivy branches, it was a natural to include Maleficent's
pet raven here.

| Maleficent |

|
| Looking, well....malicious. |
The flash went off when I took this picture, which is why it looks so bright. But you not only get a good shot of the Evil
Queen, you can also see the mouse ears in the white work in this section of the bar.
