STAR DATE
All Delta Fleet Star Trek PBEM's run concurrently along the same time line roughly Star Date 2375.
Currently in the Delta Fleet Star Trek Universe the characters find themselves after Star Trek: The Next Generation Movie
'Insurrection' but before 'Nemesis'. The Dominion War is over and Star Fleet is recovering gearing and redistributing
there resources to return to a more defensive and explorative nature. There is an uneasy truce between the Romulans and Starfleet
as both sides are building themselves back up to there former glory.
In the Star Trek Universe there system for determining Star Dates was never fully explained. In The Original Series (TOS)
the Stardates used where seemingly contrived randomly.
In Star Trek The Next Generation (TNG) they roughly attempting to correct this by putting the number of the season as
the starting number in the Star Date. In The Star Trek Delta Force PBEMS we would like for you to use the current date in
the following format (military time.month.day.year) ie.. if it was 12:00pm January 1rst, 2003 you will have a Star Date
of 1200:01.01.2003.
If you wish to discuss the time of day always use military time.

As a military organization Starfleet has a number of regulations, protocols and procedures that are put in place to assist
with organization, the chain of command and to conveniently keep in place the integrity of the organization in the absence
of communication with Star Fleet Command.
The USS OLYMPIC is a large vessel with an extended crew position list. Here is a detailed description of the functions
and duties of each position.
TECHNOLOGY
All Delta Fleet Star Trek PBEMs are on the same technological level which is based on the same time lines used with in
Star Trek: TNG. There are detailed Scientific specifications of the Galaxy Class Explorer on the USS Olympic website. Any introduction of a new science or invention should be discussed with game moderators before
introduction into the game. Here are a couple of areas of recent advancement all characters should be familiar with:
Transwarp Technology: After the recent discovery that Warp Engines where polluting sub-space there was
a need to develope cleaner more efficient Warp Technology. Star Fleets answer to this was the Trans Warp Drive. They are in
the process of recalling all federation space craft and refitting them with the Trans Warp Drives. Any ship not equipped with
a Transwarp Drive is limited by Federation Law to Warp 5.
