Personal Assessment From a lecture given at the Vulcan Science Academy's school of Archeology:
I do not know why we first became interested in the human race. On introspection, I think it was their ability
to adapt, to carry on despite an extremely short life span, evolutionary hurtles and an aggressive, war-like nature.
In them we see ourselves as we once were countless eons ago. They have a singular devotion to achievement and an almost
compulsive need to create. Starfleet is a shining example of this drive...this need to unify. It has drawn many
of my people in, re-awakening in us the spirit of explorers and wonders across the heavens.
Professional Assessment - Personnel File review from Captain V'alar Mordai, Captain of the USS Hera:
Mr. Serin has proven himself to be a most capeable officer while serving on board my ship. He meets or excedes
all of my expectations...and there are quite a few. As an Andorian, and Naval Academy graduate, even I find myself hard
pressed to keep up with him. If I were to pick out any flaw in his performance, it would be in critique of his secreative
nature. El Auriens in general are tight-lipped, though, and I just simply chalk it up to racial conditioning.
Mr. Serin is a damn fine officer and will serve his new post well
MedicalAssesment As reported by Dr. Mirrin, CMO of the USS Hera:
Lt. Commander Serin is in perfect physicial condition for a member of his species, and is free from genetic defects.
I recommed that he continue his daily fitness and dietary regiment, with the possible exception of limiting his intake of
an early earth dessert called a "Ho ho" to, perhaps, once per week. As is typical for his species, Lt. Serin is able
to "feel" the presence of quantum phenomena. This...ability...manifests itsself anywhere from a slight feeling of discomfort,
to out and out nausia depending on the severity. This condition is untreatable, but should not effect his fitness for
duty.
Physchological Evaluation From the Desk of Abru Benzi, Counselor, USS Hera:
Lt. Serin's mind is closed to me, though this is not unusual for an El Aurien. As he explains it, this is a natural
defensive mechanisim, and I see no reason to doubt his assesment. On a developmental note, Mr. Serin shares his
peoples' enmity with the Q Continuum. While encounters with such beings by Starfleet Personnel is rare, it is recommmended
that Mr. Serins new captain avoid having him present should such an encounter occur
