Born on Jupiter Station, to a bunch of science freaks for parents. I was the only child, perfectly planned
like anything my parents do. Throughout my childhood I was exposed to all the projects and research my parents were
doing. My mother was working on ways of improving exploration sensor system, while my father was into more plant biology
study. Dont get me wrong it was quite interesting, as they made sure I knew all aspects of their studies, but it made
for a boring childhood. In school I had always excelled in science related courses because much of it I had learned
young, and because of this I was always told to going into the scientific fields, and with the pressure from my family I felt
railroaded and almost went another path, but I didnt. I served Starfleet for many years in numerous scientific teams
that travel all around the quadrant. Researching planets, cosmic disturbances, planetary biomes, I was pulled along
for all of yet. I worked under some of the great minds of their fields, and started a good reputation with each of them.
As I sat in my office, just after being promoted, which doesnt mean much in the science community, I reflected on my initial
point at which I chose this career, remembering my feelings of being forced into research. Right there I decided that
it was time for a change. I immediately contacted my superior, met with her and explained my request to be placed in
a starship. She didnt want anything of it and pleaded for me to reconsider but I had already made my mind up.
She reluctantly decided that because I was a good officer that she would do what she could for a transfer

Darin Crites served as team co-leader with our Atmospheric Research Team from my Science Department on Starbase 239.
He assisted with the collecting of over a hundred atmospheric samples. His ability and knowledge of the many fields
of science are extremely impressive, which makes him a good choice for any scientific mission. Darin is extremely organized,
reliable, and has a large knowledge of the scientific principles.
