Prior
to joining DEERING & SANDS, Mr. Berberloglu spent four years developing his estate planning law practice. Prior
to that, Mr. Berberoglu
was an Associate at a Los Angeles-based firm specializing in litigation. Directly after receiving his J.D., Mr. Berberoglu was a Law Clerk for
the Project Director of the Rampart Project, which pursued post-conviction relief for individuals affected by the Rampart
scandal. As one of the first individuals in this position, Mr.
Berberoglu was instrumental in the development of this organization's infrastructure.
Prior to attending law school, he was a Project Manager for a start-up technology company that developed proprietary software
for pre-paid wireless telephones.
Mr. Berberoglu received his J.D. from Southwestern University
School of Law in 2001, where he was Special Projects Editor of the Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas. He received the Law Journal Bluebook Award for Excellence in Editing
in 2000, and was a member of the First Place team
in the 2000 Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition.
Mr. Berberoglu received
a B.A. in Law and Society from the University of California,
Santa Barbara in 1993. He has received continuing education
in estate planning. He is admitted to practice in all State Courts of California.
