About the Old Ramblers

The Dynamic: The Old Ramblers get along very well with one another. There is a reason for this. They stay away from one another for the most part. Monty knows not to mess with Randi when she's annoyed, Randi never talks back to Doug in front of anyone else,Doug never really issues orders and nobody can take Seamus for too long anyway. By the same token, each would give their right arm to help or save the others and allthough Monty can be annoying he's also the only person who can make each of them laugh. Doug looks to Seamus whenever he's in over his head and all of them look to Doug for what the next move is.

In Combat: Randi will look for a time and place to go berserk, so as to do more damage. Doug will plant in one spot and lay about himself. Monty relies on his increased mobility and confusing powers to keep an enemy off balance. in the mean time, Seamus is working in the background to create big trouble, trusting his packmate to keep enemies off of him.

Activities: Most Garou resign themselves to a life of service at some point in their lives. The Ramblers made their choice long ago. Each has his own way of helping out those more unfortunate than themselves.Randi helps her street people and younger cubs who wish to learn the ways of war. Doug helps kids and young garou come to grips with their various problems.Monty does his part to help children and to keep his packmates from taking themselves to seriously...He also keeps them from killing one another on occasion. And Seamus does all he can to keep garou lore and kinfolk lore alive. He's also an outspoken defender of kinfolk and has shown many garou the error of their ways after witnessing kinfolk mistreatment. He is developing an antipathy towards western Shadow lords as a result.

Sexual Dynamic: Each of the Ramblers are old friends and nothing more. Only Monty seems to have time or energy to chase the occasional skirt. Seamus and Randi came close once not long after Randi's husband of 23 years died but they've never spoken of it since. The fact that Seamus held her while she cried was enough. Doug would like to meet somebody, he just never seems to have time. Seamus has peppered and salted the local area with his progeny but has never been able to stay with any one woman long.

Relations to others: Seamus has an unreasoning irrational hatred of kindred and Miranda is no stranger to waxing a few who tool around her neighborhood. Only Doug has ever spoken to one and still reserves judgment. Both Seamus and Monty have connections to kithain. With some work Seamus can also access the lands of the dead and speak to the freshly lost. Spirits have heard the name of the old ramblers.

Other Notes: This pack does not have a pack totem as most of the pack mates had other packs before this. They are seriously considering adopting Merlin as their totem at the urging of Seamus's Jaggling familiar.

Collected Resources: Not much. Monty has no real job but accepts pick up jobs from Doug. (most of the youth center was painted by him.) Doug doesn't have a lot of money and neither does Miranda. Seamus more or less lives off his family or students. so the group is cash poor. They do however have several hundred people who owe them in one way or another...and that stuff adds up.

Story Uses:

-Teach the new kids humility: Always a perenial favorite, and amusing when a group of old farts beats the snot out of the young upstarts with superior teamwork.

-Teach the new kids a thing or two: The Ramblers are also well placed to serve as the mentors for a pack that badly needs one. it should be noted that the players should expect to be groomed to take over the business when the ramblers pass on.

-Get the Pack involved with activism: The Ramblers are involved people. anybody hanging out with them is going to get involved. Better learn how to care angst boy.

-Occasional Bacon Saver: Not only will they show up when you're in over your head but they will lecture you on why you shouldn't have got that way in the first place.
