History Sketch: Bailey is like a character out of a Joseph Waumbaugh novel. He was a career cop stalled at detective 2nd grade. he had 3 more years before he could pull the pin and retire to a fanciful fishing boat. He'd had a nasty divorce and a kid who hated him. He had a drinking problem and a life that was dwindling down to nothing but the work.

But, you had to give him this. He could do the work. He wasn't a politician like upper echelon cops but he could put the arm on the perps and figure stuff out. He was no stranger to legwork and allthough he hated surveilance he could do it. He may have skimmed a little and he may have lied on the stand a few times. but he never scooped, or planted a piece. His main failing is that he could never let things go. It got him killed...and of course reborn...

All Bailey ever wanted to do was make a difference. maybe he'll get the chance now.
