Story:
Some who have come to know and love this old man are worried for his health. They keep trying to get him to learn more Life magick or Time in order to preserve his life. To which he snorts and says that he'll get around to it when he gets around to it. Bevis inherited the bookstore from his father and has spent much of his life in the bookseller trade. That he came to magick in his late 50's is tragic, One wonder what he could have learned if he'd awakened in his teens or young adulthood.
Bevis's true gift is that he has a positive genius for teaching the principles of Magick to others. His knowledge of esoteric lore is encyclopedic and what he doesn't know off the top of his head, he knows where to find in the stacks.
On the down side, he is not a combatant and knows it. He's eschewed the ascencion war as much as he able and has even cut himself off from the political cut and thrust of his own tradition. He is perfectly content to tend his own garden and teach the odd student when he can manage. Someday he might get around to resetting his metabolic clock but things have a way of eluding him in that way. There never seems to be enough time.
Bevis is a likeable old man. former students like him. Bookshoppers like him. Even spirits like him. He's a good man to know.
