What has gone Before:A whole other lifetime ago you grew up in a Eastern Kentucky Mining town. Your real name used to be Erlene. You grew up good looking and you grew up fairly smart too. Which is real shame. There's nothing for a smart good looking girl in an eastern kentucky mining town except marriage right out of school or date rape. The precipitator for you finally leaving was that your father was a moon shiner who drank a bit of his product. One day he went blind...and then steadily grew more and more erratic. Turns out after the revenuers confiscated his last still and all his copper line, he went right back into business using old radiators...Which gave him lead poisoning.

Mama remarried..she pretty much had to. and your stepfather turned out to be a real abusive scumbag...who liked to touch you when mama wasn't looking.

You left. You packed one bag and went as far as your piggy bank money would take you. You made it as far as the bright lights of Chicago. And allthough you had all of 19 cents to your name you knew somehow that this city would take you in and protect you. You got a job as a secretary and went to work as fast as you could manage. Once you had undergone this transformation you began casting about for a job that could better use your skills. You got a gig with the International Detective Agency in their secretarial pool because of the possibilty of travel. It was during this time that you were assigned to Sean Macmahan. Macmahan was legendary in secretarial pool as a lech and a unbelievably demanding boss. When you came to work for him you actually rocked him back on his heels with your poise,charm , and the ability to be one step ahead of him at all times. Macmahan hired you permanently and you became part of his team...Now if only you could become part of his heart. he seems oblivious of the fact that you've slowly fallen for him...the big palooka.
