Equipment: 1 beeper, one cell phone with hands free and voice
activated autodialing. A G3 powerbook with trinary enhancement
package. and message pad 2000. 2 laser pointers (one disguised as a
pen and the other on his keychain.) and a sensory monitoring system
which looks like a largeish pair of night vision goggles. (this
houses, remote computer monitors,E-m Band emission monitors and the
Quintessence scannning equipment. The Neural Net is also concealed
within this piece of headgear.
Other notes: Has 2 sanctums. one is his laboratory at the Arcanum Chapter house where he works. the other is the Bookmobile of Doom.(which was a gift from another Virtual Adept) Both are level 2 sanctums
Appearance: 18 year old white male so thin he'd blow over in a stiff breeze. Charlie has black hair.brown eyes, and serious acne.
Clothing Tendencies:anything comfortable. usually a t-shirt,sweatpants and flip-flops. He does have a black trenchcoat which is about 3 size too large for him which he wears on those infrequent times when is he is forced to go into the field.
Digital web Icon: A much more macho version of himself with bulky muscles,craggy good looks and a James Bond demeanor.
Known to:Is well known in Virtual adept circles but is largely considered a K-lame dork. Considered to be a miracle worker in Arcanum circles
Ongoing Projects:Brokering interesting esoteric information on the Digital web.Helping the Arcanum,(at least surrep-titiously.) Working on a voice-only system for his computer system and a wearable hard drive and power source that fits in the small on the back for field work.
Circle and Influence: With a few trusted friends in the adepts and in the arcanum. as well as unlimited access to a multinational network system, Charlie's influence may not be strong but it can be broad. Lately he has made inroads into local municipal systems and a number of Federal datasystems with the help of his former mentor
House:Has a tiny apartment that he shares with his older sister Susan.
Library: While his own library is pathetic and miniscule, he does have access to nearly the entire arcanum library and is one of the people responsible for the arcanum database project.

Magickal style :Charlie's magickal style is heavily dependent on props as most technomagick is. most of his offensive magicks revolve arounds his game playing skills.
Story:Charlie was a bright child,real bright...He was given an Odysey game system for christmas one year and manged to rewire it into a useable game system and computer. Every electronic toy he ever owned was taken apart and put back together.
At the tender age of twelve, Charlie hacked Sac-Norad just like the guy in War games. He didn't get caught for that. But somebody noticed him. He was immediately arrested for hacking a number of Games company computers.(which he did,but was not caught for.) He was sentenced to Juvie and psychiatric revue.
His counselor seemed to really understand him. This is not surprising as Delphi substituted his counselor and brought him into their fold. Delphi taught him much but the only lesson that never seemed to sink in was subtlety. finally Delphi was forced to bounce Charlie from training and to tell him to come back when he had grown up some.
Grandmaster Z hove onto the scene and was involved in a number of things that would make Captain Feedabck blanch. Recently though,he has noticed that many of the people he works with consider him incredibly immature. This stems mainly from his obsession with games and his burgeoning magickal abilities which have become game related. In order to stay in the informational loop.(which is his only social life.) Charlie has gotten a job with the Arcanum as a system/networks admin. He masks his magickal abilities with technical jargon and a Rain Man act that is a carefully cultivated bit of social engineering.( "it's...ummm...It's technical...ummmm.") Only close friends have any idea of the data jockey inside. Both the head of his chapterhouse and his sister Susan have tried to set him up with a real live girl but so far he's batting badly. Delphi still watches from a distance and occasionally sends him interesting things. Charlie has carved out a nice comfortable niche for himself in the Arcanum. He's even made a few friends among his tradition that consider him O.K. and not without potential. One of these friends ,Arcangle, has given him some training in strong crypto. and when she left town she gave him the Bookmobile of Doom
Story Uses:
Annoying datajockey who just happens to have what you need: Not only does Charlie have access to every online resource that the Arcanum has,but he also has access to Arcanum signals traffic. Some of this intel is of inestimable value to historically inclined mages. Some Virtuals have even found themselves forced to deal with him when it became clear that he has some of the best ties to Verbena,Chorus, and Hermetic mages.
Punk kid who's in WAY over his head: While Charlie is a talented and creative amature. he is just that: an amature. As a result, the kid has become more paranoid than he used to be but he's still a kid and he screws up sometimes. Sooner or later he's going to burn his lobes or get his ass shot off in the real world.
Pathetic but potentially useful leech/sidekick: if you have a Virtual Adept in your campaign that shows even the least amount of friendliness then Charlie will attach himself at the hip. He has shown that he is capable of tasks that characters are often too busy for like research or low level surveilance/babysitting
