Appearance:A young and boyish man with short black hair, a wide grin and twinkling brown eyes. he has clever hands and a nice but not overpowering voice. His build is very slight and he has virtually no muscle definition at all.
Clothing Tendencies: When doing the church's business wears the whole priest drag but when off duty or when performing certain types of pastoral duty tends to go in for jeans, a black t-shirt and engineer boots.
Known to: Father Joe, is known to a few Digital Web types who trust him for an outsider. He's known to local Celestials and he's made himself felt in the depredations of the local Setites. (who would dearly like to know who he is.) Bad Sector has been sending him hard luck cases that the bone gnawers are too stretched to handle.

Magickal style : While Joe has sort of slid into the use of Virtual Adept props for his Correspondence magick, all the rest of his magickal praxis is directly derived from Celestial foci of the most traditional sort...which makes conjunctional effects involving correspondence...Interesting
Story:
Joe would have made a great Virtual adept if they had gotten to him first. Joe is one of the middle children of 6 siblings and fifth Rogan in as many generations to go into the priesthood. Joe has allways been skinny,gangly,and short winded but found that in the church these things didn't matter.
Early on, Joe discovered a talent for music and singing and this is what led him into computers. As he studied for the priesthood he discovered the MIDI interface and it opened up a whole new world for him...literally.
Joe is very young and as such is not well understood by the church heirarchy. Mother Catherine used to protect him from his excesses but joe is often at loggerheads with the bishop over ministering to hookers near the park and providing pastoral care to aids patients. Ministering to other Mages Via the Web also eats into his time.
Joe is kind,caring,and funny. he often defuses trouble with humor and has an easy demeanor that some women take for come-on (it's going to get him into trouble one of these days.Among his congregation's women, he's known as Father What-A-Waste ) Joe had become Mother Catherine's good right hand in a number of ways(especially in intelligence gathering.) and oddly, her only alternative for confession.
Now that she's gone off to be an old married lady in the Scottish highlands, Joe find himself at sea for support but thankfully others are begining to take up the slack...
When ministering to people in the web, as a joke, he often alter's his icon to look like John Fitzgerald in "White christmas." Strangely, he finds that this works.he also has few e-mail friends through the WWW page.
Joe is not a combat bunny by any means and when things get tight his impulse is to talk or run. most often this works, as he can move fast for short bursts.
Story Uses:
Fish out of Water: Joe is at times in way over his head among the rough and ready digital web crowd.He likes them though even though they tend to restrict their ethical and moral behavior to only people they know personally...and like. Joe enjoys a good arguement too and will happily debate even virulently anti-religious persons...as long as they respect his beliefs. This tendency to view his relationship with Digital persons...and things... as some kind of ministry is going to get him in trouble. Some ethically challenged type is going to take advantage of his trusting nature and his tendency towards honesty.
A helping Hand : Joe is honestly one of the good guys...Not in a Steven Seagal kind of way but he is genuininely interested in helping people. To this end he has wreaked havoc on local drug dealers,mob suppliers, Setite and Giovanni puppeteers and the like. He's also used his street ministry to help the homeless, Get strung out prostitutes away from their pimps and try to mitigate some of the gang activity. anybody who is interested in these activities will find that he will surreptitiously offer any aid he can. If they are like minded individuals he will present himself to them and if they are not he will feed them information via Email and post-it notes ( He has helped a cenacle of the Inquisition to 9 confirmed kills this way.)
A friendly ear : The most important service that Joe can provide to anyone is his ability to listen. Sure he's a Mage, a musical genius, learned in half a dozen churchly disciplines, a devoted computer geek and it seems like he never sleeps. But when you start to doubt everything,when the fecal material has impacted the air conditioning unit, when a close friend has died and there wasn't a thing you could do about it... Joe is willing to listen and try not to judge.
