Appearance: Linus has a pinched look that predates his embrace. His skin is gray and his pale blue eyes are squinty and suspicious.
Clothing Tendencies: affects the intellectual goth style with the whole death motif thing. He doesn't seem to mind that that look is all over. He has long black hair, lean hawkish features, Tattoos of all sorts and speaks with his unaffected german accent. He also possesses an identity of an elder man with long flowing silver hair and impeccably tailored suits. He uses this identity when purchasing art or other business related pursuits.
Known to: Most of the undercity Sabbat, Some of the city Toreador, (most aren't aware that he's Sabbat.)
Ongoing Projects: Running his gallery and occasional project to beautify parts of undercity.
Circle and Influence: Linus has cultivated an extremely small and incestous cult of personality around himself. He would probably have more influence in the mortal world if it weren't for the fact that he is picky and recieves enough grief from fellow sabbat for associating with them(some of whom are hypocrites.) Linus has also made some contact with the local Zantosa and Obertus families.
House: Runs a small gallery called "Le Oubilette" which has entry from a manhole cover on south houston street. It also has an entry from a freight elevator.(which is the way most mortals visit the place.) He lives in the Studio/basment portion of the place.
Hunting preferences/Blood source: Cruises the Tenderloin and looks for people who mean to do mischief to gay persons.
Story: Linus was one of those incredibly tiresome goth obsessed art school intellectual jerks with more style than substance and an ambivalent attitude toward his own sexuality. He was embraced outside a goth dance club in Stuttgart by a sabbat pack that was looking for some laughs. They hunted him and harrassed him for weeks before most of them got themselves perished.
Linus fetched up in Berlin and fell in with a co-dependent toreador with an an ego even larger than his. Ramona was the one who finally initiated him into the mysteries of the Sabbat and taught him how to survive and prosper. In turn, he taught her some of his abilities. They opened a gallery and they started a blood cult which they eventually killed off when it got boring. This created a certain amount of heat they hadn't expected so they decided to leave and come to new york. They still have a "Friendship" that last to this night based on mutual artistic respect, competition, and a deep love of perversion.
Linus is an oddity in the sabbat for the most part. He eschews the company of most of his own clan and dislikes most of his sectmates as well. His aspirations lie in more refined circles...most of which are closed to him. He has some human "Friends" and still harbors a protective streak for gays and hatred of gay bashers from his breathing days.
Story Uses:
Artist: Linus uses his considerable abilties with Vicissitude to create objects of beauty of flesh and bone. Some Tzimisce find his works stimulating and he's even attracted the notice of such luminaries as Jayne Jonestown and Malice N. Wonderland. Keiko Masaki has even graced his humble shop and asked him if he took on commisions. If his art has a flaw in it, it is his fetishistic obsession with death imagery. (he imagines himself a new H.R. Giger or Bosch.) Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. The pure white lily sculpted out of a child's femur is one of Malice's prized possessions.
Art Mafia: Not everybody is aware of this, but there is a growing sort of Art Mafia. Self interested individuals that seek to make themselves rich at the expense of the art world. This leads to counterfits, strongarming artists on prices for their work, breaking the career of the uncooperative, Making the careers of those that are in their pocket, and occasionally murdering prominent artists in order to drive up the value of their work. Linus has done all of these things and more besides.
I'll scratch your eyes out: While it would seem like Linus is just another vindictively embraced euro trash art fag, it should be recalled that he is Sabbat and is more than capable of a bit of the old ultra violence. He uses Dread Gaze and Mask of a Thousand Faces to deadly effect before closing and then Potence and Vicissitude in equal measure. Linus's weapon of choice is usually an Oxyacetyline torch or a large pry bar.
Necronut: As Linus goes on, his fetish for all this dead and decaying gets stronger and stronger. In another Nosferatu, these tendencies would be cause to call him "Leatherface", but his inclinations are much more sophisticated than that. Linus would do anything to learn Necromancy and/or Mortis-Thanatosis. Perhaps a trade can arranged with some necronomist art lover?
