Appearance:A japanese male in his late 40's (allthough he is at least 20 years older than this.) his hair is silver and impeccably groomed. He has a kendo artists build and is only middling short for a japanese. He has the traditional tattoos and is missing a left pinky.( which does screw up his golf grip a bit.)

Clothing Tendencies:At home, very casual tends towards clothing that would be right at home at his country club. When working he wears the Yakuza "gangster" uniform complete with dark suit,dark shirt,white tie and yellow lensed glasses. (he tends to think of this uniform as "Armoring up." at least one of his suits has been treated to act as class 4 armor)

Ongoing Projects:do the business, expand the territory, work in a little golf. 

Circle and Influence:Anywhere there is Zaibatsu or Nipponese people he has at least a little influence. allthough his power is easy to underestimate.he does have a number of soldiers, a ninja clan contract, and other supernaturals at his beck and call. He is considered a powerful man among the Enforcer branch of the syndicate and among other organized crime types

House:Often, Kono chooses to live in one of his hotels on the top 3 floors along with his somewhat spoiled 13 year old grandson Shinji and a number of his troops.

Library: all on CD-rom and completely useless to anyone who does not read Kanji. By the way, if you don't allready know. Asiatic languages represent a serious stumbling block to computer translation programs.

Quintessence source:Allthough Kono has access to multiple nodes, his favorite is an old fashioned glass topped tickertape machine. it is a unique focus.

Magickal style : Compact and dependent on cutting edge technology. Konohashi is prone to "Stacking his rack" ahead of time whenever he suspect that he might need it.

Story:Kono-san was born in Osaka, and is a sixth generation Yakuza Oyabun and a fourth generation Syndicate mage. This is the work that he was raised to do all his life. Unlike many Yakuza, Konohashi has made America his base of operations and what few links remain in Hawaii and Japan are managed by his younger brother. Konohashi is driven by a number of things: greed,paternalistic feeling to his Kobun, honor, racial chauvinism, and raw power hunger. He also wants to leave an even bigger empire for his grandson to rule, in expiation for the loss of his father. (who was slain by unknown assailants.) Kono is convinced that he will rule the campaign city from the shadows one day. and the scary thing is he may be right.

Story Uses:

Shadowy ruler of Little Tokyo : This guy is the man. Nothing goes down in Little Tokyo without him signing off on it. He's tough, he's rich, he's everywhere. Other Yakuza want to be him when they grow up. Nobody makes any money without this guy getting a slice. Nobody who wants to live a long and full life goes against him or talks bad about him.

Benevolent Dictator of Little Tokyo : For those not up on the Yakuza or it's history, it should be noted that the Yakuza tends to actually protect those who pay for protection. City streets stay clean and bad elements stay away from neighborhoods. They even contribute to charities and such. Sure they run all the vices and are responsible for horrific misdeeds but they often go to the trouble of concealing such activities in the name of good public relations.

Respected Antagonist : The Zaibatsu is slightly different from the regular technocracy insofar as Mysticism is concerned. They don't actually dislike things that are cranky and mystickal as long as they make money or their action isn't threatened. Someone like Mr.Matsuda isn't in business to enforce the Pogrom. Combine this with his code of honor and you might be able to work with this guy. Any threat that manifests that effects both sides will cause Konohashi to seek out help from any source. Of course, he may shop you to the NWO later but while the truce is in effect he will live up to his side. He will of course take certain precautions to keep from being observed or discovered.

Sempai,Former or Current : It is traditional for elder Nipponese to take on a protege and to groom them for upper management. Since Konohashi's son is dead and Shinji is not old enough, this means that he could seek out a worthy man to help head up his businesses. Conversely, it is also possible that your character was once a member of the Zaibatsu and left or was forced to flee. Depending on the situation, Matsuda-sama might be trying to entice you back or kill you.

Ancient Enemy : No ambiguity here. You are the person or persons unknown who slew his son and Shinji's father. If he ever discovers this, you are seriously dead.
