Appearance: A clear eyed caucasian male with Gaulic features and wavy blond hair usually cut fairly short. He appears to be extremely weathered and tired.

Clothing Tendencies: Sam's attire varies wildly with his personality and his obfuscate. He tends to wear a suit and a trench coat that were right in style in the 1940's

Ongoing Projects:Sam is a creature of habit when circumsatnces permit. He tries to see a movie or a show every single night of his undead existence and then after that he might sit about the house trying to learn some esoteric skill. On rare occasions

Circle and Influence: very tight with the local malkavians and usually lucid enough to deal with other vampires making him a sort of Malkavian ambassador

Story:

Gield Bouton was his name and he was an actor. in those days that more or less meant that you were barely considered a step above the whores who walked the streets. Gield was something of a hack with a mild talent for the rough comedies that his traveling troop specialized in. While performing in Monmartre, their performance was set upon by a malkavian religious fanatic who wanted to bring back the old passion plays of the dark ages. He embraced 6 actors that night. They waited...bided thier time and when the moment was right they rose up and struck him down in a field outside of Orly. Gield was one of those actors. Perhaps 1 or 2 of his siblings remain alive.

Gield's main personality fractured under the curse of Malkav, to compensate for the Multpile Personality Disorder that was crippling his ability to function he started taking on roles from the shows they performed. This worked admirably and became a way of life for him. As the centuries wore on his madness also manifested an obsession with the theater and later film. this gave him new characters and enabled him to take on personalities that were able to function in the modern world. As time goes by old characters atrophy and die and new ones take their place. Captain Blood and the Crimson Pimpernell don't make many appearnaces anymore but he still takes on the aspect of Dr Killded when confronted with some sort of medical emergency or some such. His business tactics resemble those of John Foster Kane and he's got other weird little skills he's picked up along the way.and when he assumes the form of Arnold Stallone even the Sabbat give him wide berth.

Sam Slay is Gield's most stable personality personality and the one most people want to deal with. He's a hard boiled private dick from the mean streets. Sam is tricky and canny and not afraid to mix it up. He has a softhearted streak in the way that he treats the others of his little group especially Laura. He talks out of the side of his mouth. Tends to narrate his own thoughts, and even has a ghoul named Penny Steranko who minds an office for him. (she's been with him for 40 years.) He is also an able investigator and is capable of great perspicacity when the job calls for it.

Story Uses:

Sire/Mentor/Paramour/Friend : A likeable lug most of the time, Sam is considered to be one of the few relatively lucid members of his kind. He makes friend easily and since he generally has zero political ambitions,wants nothing from them for the most part. he enjoys the company of other vampires because they are an audience to be performed for.

Target that wasn't the pushover you thought he was: Sam rarely talks about his past,most people who don't know him extremely well underestimate his age by at least a couple of centuries. As a consequence, those who dislike him or seek to do him harm often end up underestimating his power level and prowess. Attacking him at the theater or the movies is real good way to get to meet Mr Stallone up close and too personal.

Informational Fixture: Sam's high auspex and investigation abilities are sometimes very useful to those who are willing and capable of paying his fee.(50 dollars a day+expenses+prestation debt) Consequently,Sam and his coterie are welcomed by Nosferatu and Toreador alike.

Unexpected Maniac : If there's one thing he can't stand it's people talking during the show. a night out with your non-supernatural friends could get really ugly if somebody is too chatty for Sam's taste.

Malkavian Sibling : if you are playing an Elysium game, then it's possible that Gield/Sam is a sibling of yours and that you also got you start as a travelling player. it's up to you as to how well the two of you got along.

Arts Patron : While Sam is far from rich he has been know in the past to help fund theater groups and sometimes directs his Prestation debts into that same end. Toreador and some Ventrue have no problem with this and as a result some Toreador consider him a kindred spirit (pardon the pun)
