Compiler's notes: Stacy missed a session and sadly fell behind in
creating the summaries that we have grown to know and love.
unfortunately this problem just got worse and worse as time wore on
and more pressure was applied. At some point in the future we hope to
have this section expunged and replaced with actual summaries of the
events. In the meantime, Jimmy Mckinney has thoughtfully provided
these capsule summaries to which i hope to add several notes in order
to cover the missing material
SESSION 13
The gang combs Paris to find the kidnapped Melanie, hooking up with recurring cast member Vincent in the process. A series of clues leads to a subterranean complex that is the hideout of a white slavery ring. A bloodbath ensues as the young mages tear through the unAwakened criminals. That the slavers nevertheless have *some* connection to the magely world is made clear when the group is faced with a cyborg monstrosity. Defeating that adversary through cleverness and teamwork, they rescue Mel and the other kidnapped girls, and return just in time to have to explain everything to Tyler's mom.
SESSION 14
The kids return to their homes in the City for Christmas and New Year's. With some difficulty, Tyler and Mel manage to move their relationship past the "watched you kill a roomful of people in my name" obstacle. Meanwhile, Ivan is planning the Ultimate Year 2000 New Year's Party, to be held in a motel room overlooking the Times Square celebration. During the party, the group happens to find out about a plot by some obnoxious vampire punks to blow up Dick Clark and the crowd below with a planted bomb. With assistance from Jasmine's dad, this threat is averted. (Jasmine and Ivan end up having to spelunk the minds of two vampires tore up on LSD. Fortunately,Ivan's experience with halucinogenics turned out to be invalueable. The gang also gets to meet Ivan's drug dealer Walter.)
SESSION 15
The kids return to school and meet a couple of new students of their ilk, Etherite biologist Kerry Gilman and Ecstasist art thief Russell Sloan. Kerry has come to Huntington following the bizarre dictates of his grandfather's will, and knows to look up Tyler and Jasmine because of prior contact with the Rabbi's family. His room is filled with bioengineered plants. Russell is less forthcoming with information about himself. He does help out, though, when one of Ivan's shady contacts among the high schoolers tries to double-cross him; the vengeance that the two exact leaves Ivan in control of Huntington's "underworld" of illegal alcohol sales. Naturally, another party ensues.
SESSION 16
The kids (including new pal Kerry) are summoned for babysitting duty when the Rabbi's protegee, Beck, calls together several members of the old Seven Stars chantry to deal with a multidimensional crisis. Hilarity ensues as our kids get to play parent for a bunch of younger kids, some Awakened, in the Cabrells' huge house filled with dangerous magickal artifacts, under the watchful (but exhausted) eye of the very pregnant nanny. Once the rugrats are finally put to bed, things turn deadly as a pack of Black Spiral Dancers shows up to lay claim to the nanny's Garou fetus. Once again, our heroes rise to the challenge, though they do not emerge unscathed. (Some neat moments are provided by Kerry and his fast-growing killer kudzu and by Ivan and his creative use of kitchen implements to ward off Spiral Dansers)
SESSION 17
With no major threats hounding them, the kids spend a week or two working on their own personal projects. In honor of the upcoming Valentine's holiday, Jasmine decides to investigate the mathematical basis of human affection in hopes of founding the Perfect Dating Service; unfortunately, her efforts to persuade her friends to provide her with romantic memories for analysis are not terribly popular. Meanwhile, Ivan decides that the group needs to buy a house of its own, and locates a suitable farmhouse nearby. He uses his future data to win at the races, and Tyler supplements those funds with a bit of stock-market manipulation. Finally, Ivan sets himself up as "Mr. Camembert," a wealthy eccentric for whom young Ivan is merely a courier, to make the actual purchase. The kids then set about renovating the rundown old place, which they christen the "HALFway House."
SESSION 18
A rash of suicides in the nearby town of Hannibal, NY, compels the kids to investigate. They find that the dead girls all have connections to a goth-flavored cult which may include actual mages. Also, oddly, all the suicides have ties to Tyler's ex-girlfriend Caitlin, with whom he has recently begun to make peace. The kids are only starting to puzzle out what's going on when, on the night of the Valentine's Day dance, they find that Tyler has taken Caitlin to the farmhouse and shot her in the head, though he claims not to remember having done it.
SESSION 19
After telepathic investigation reveals a number of blank spots in Tyler's memory, the group sends him home and advises his mom of the situation. Ryan's investigations confirm the kids' worst fears -- the nearby cult is led by several potent Nephandi, raised from birth by her father (the late Evil Bastard Ryan Elliot, Sr.) as his final contingency plan. They are already in the process of reincarnating their master, and have corrupted Tyler through Caitlin, a willing pawn whose whole suicide sob-story was a setup. Meanwhile, Tyler's dark side takes over again and he returns to school to kill his friends, only to be subdued and talked back from the precipice for the moment. Cult leader Mala shows up while all this is going on to sneer at her opponents; Vincent and Kerry manage to drive her off, though not before she inflicts some serious hurt on Melanie. Ryan takes Tyler home for a total reaming-out and tasks the other kids with investigation of the Nephandi cult, pursuant to its upcoming destruction at her hands.
SESSION 20
Though down two members (Mel having been taken to the local Chorus chapterhouse to recover), the kids' cabal continues to plan for confrontation with the Nephandi. With the aid of various parental contacts, they arrange for their "civilian" friends to be moved off-campus. Ivan dips into his father's Nephandi lore and strengthens the wards on the groups' sanctuaries. Jasmine arranges to intercept the cultists' email, and plots with Kerry to bug their homes and schools with some of his organic surveillance devices. Kerry weirds everyone out by asking Dr. Rodochenko to fast-grow a clone of the late Caitlin Summers; though the clone will be amnestic, at least her parents will have a living daughter to re-train. Quite willing to help cover up his stepson's responsibility for Caitlin's death, and free of ethical qualms about his work, Mikhail agrees.
SESSION 21
The session where the gang spies on the cult, and the house is attacked by Neal, Ryan, et. al. (well it was a bit more involved than that, there was intelligence gathering, and some infernal favor brokering and desperate plan making and helping to mop up cultists when it was all done.
SESSION 22
The session where the gang attacks the Mysterious Invisible Outhouse/Lab in the Field with the aid of several Garou. (nobody walked away from this one unscathed, The garou were very helpful but it was basically us on the line and we were able to leave the place with most of our original pieces.)
