The 1998 Constitutional Revision Commission proposed and Florida voters approved the reduction of the Florida Cabinet from six members and the Governor to three members and the Governor.
The reduction took place January 7, 2003.

Florida Judicial System
Federal Courts
There are three U.S. District Courts in Florida. They hear cases involving
violations of federal statues that occur within each court's jurisdiction.
Appeals of verdicts from these courts are heard by the Eleventh Circuit
U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition to the Florida Supreme Court, there are five District Courts of Appeal, 20 Circuit Courts, and 67 County Courts in Florida.Florida has 20 Judicial Circuits:
