Search For Information On The Internet ...
Are these statements about Search Engines True or False?
- Finding information on the World Wide Web (WWW) is like finding a needle in a haystack.
- There are over one billion and a half pages on the WWW, perhaps as many as 5 billion.
- Search engines find about 20 percent of the total information available on the WWW.
- Searching for information on the WWW is very frustrating.
These statements are all True. Search engines can help one find information on
the WWW, but the task of finding the quality, useful information is becoming
more difficult. (More to come.)
