Special Olympics Tippecanoe County provides athletic and miscellaneous other events for over 175 athletes and partners year round with sports such as track/field, bocce ball, swimming, tennis, softball, golf, long-distance walking/running, bowling, volleyball, and basketball.  
All are welcome to come, join the fun ..."get involved with someone special!"

• Congratulations to all the Area Award Winners for 2001, especially our own Area 4 people:  Area Athlete, Orvin Bonwell; Area Coach, Gary Beeker; Area Family, the Stinsons - Dixie, Marvin, Rick and Jim; Area Volunteer, Lyn Doyle.
  
  
• Brian Glick, who had the honor of being selected the Interim Chair of the International Athlete Congress in Amsterdam, Netherlands May 25-27, 2000, had a wonderful experience while abroad! Many new friends were made and many things accomplished for Special Olympics. We also heard he wasn't ready to leave when it came time to return home to the USA.
