Pippy Completes the Tevis!
This is Christiansen, a
Susar bred gelding by the Straight Egyptian stallion Nite Haawk and out of the
Regional Dressage Champion mare Zadarra. Pippy as he is known, was sold as a
youngster to Mary Fields,who at that time was 50. She was a student of
ours,and had never trained a horse before. We taught her to train Pippy,and
when she moved to her own land and started doing endurance with Pippy, it was a
first for both of them. They were the 1997 IAHA lightweight endurance
champions, and they have now successfully complete the Tevis! This is not bad
for a beginner grandmother training her first horse! We are really proud of
both Mary and Pippy, and we are proud to breed horses that are both kind and
gentle enough for beginners to train, and keen enough for them to win with!
