Recommended Voice Mail Systems (VMS) (not included)
For Use With The Teligent Telephone System
For one or two voice mail boxes, you might want to just use a combination of an answering machine and telephone (in separate units or in a single unit) on the required extensions. Also the system will direct unanswered calls to an extension that has a single answering machine used for all unanswered calls.
The system can direct unanswered calls to a voice mail system (up to two port). The system simply rings the extension that contains the voice mail unit and feeds the touch tones of the extension number that did not answer to the voice mail unit. The system connects the call to the voice mail unit and flashes the message light on the Teligent phone that did not answer. This is a fairly standard protocol.
