Gardening by Intimidation!

You have heard of gardening by the yard, gardening by Design Square foot gardening but I am sure you have not heard of gardening by intimidation! There is a reason for that it's my husband secret gardening tool. My husband loves to garden and I have always admired his green thumb but I did not know all his secrets. Everything seems to grow for him even when he does not plant it the right way. I have recently taken to gardening and I have found it to be enjoyable, peaceful, amazing and a lot of hard work, But things don't always grow for me I have tried to grow babies breath for 2 years and no matter what I do they won't grow. A couple of years ago we were eating some tangerines from my aunt house and they were wonderful so much so that my husband Albert decided to plant the seeds. Well it's been around 7 years now and the trees are lovely but no tangerines. Albert was very puzzled by this, but he told me not to worry he had a sure method and he was certain they would produce. I asked him what was this method and he just said wait and see they will produce! Gardeners are very secretive about their special ways with plants. I smiled and went back inside the house. One day I observed Albert standing by the tangerine trees but he wasn't just looking he was talking to them. I know people talk to plants so that did not surprise me as a matter of fact so do I, But what I did not know was that what you say to them is of the up most importance When I talk to my plant I tell them they are beautiful they make me happy and that they are special, I was curious to hear what Albert would say to the plants so I listened and this is what he said listen buddy I want to have a talk with you and am serious if you don't produce out you go I will chop you down and use your wood for the fireplace I won't have anything in my garden that does not produce get it I mean it .Well I went back into the house laughing so hard I could hardly contain myself my daughter and son-inlaw were at the kitchen table and when I told them they joined me in the mirth .There he was My sweet gentle husband who is knowed for his patience and sweet disposition standing in front of the tangerine tree performing an excellent imitation of Marlon Brando in the Godfather on our trees. It was just to funny,weeks passed by and everytime I remember that little scene I could not help but smile .I do love that man! A couple of months passed by when one evening Albert calls me out to the garden to view our trees and sure enough the tangerine tree had bore fruit one fruit one lonely little tangerine .Aha! He said I knew that would work. By know you must know I am a believer and when something in my garden becomes stubborn .I talk to Albert and ask him to please threaten my plants .It works !Gardening by Intimidation!
