The search for meaning or is there a purpose to life?

This has been a quest since time in memorial. Sages ask this question, bakers. Bankers, housewives, all of us at one time or another have asked, is this all there is? And what is it? We all want to find some answer that will give meaning to our existence. The problem with searching for some meaning is, that meaning means different things to different people, and that is exactly where the answer lies. I have come to the conclusion that we have to find our own sense of purpose, be it what ever it may be. We have to analyze ourselves, go deep be sincere, it's your life, it's your existence, and it's your joy at stake. What do you really like? What makes you feel content, not complacent content. What fires you up, what excites you, what makes you sad, what makes you laugh? Do you like getting up early? Late? Do you like coffee, or tea? Do you like family gatherings or do you prefer to do things by yourself. Don't belittle small things, they make up the fabric of life. What kind of environment do you want to surround yourself with? What qualities do you want in your friends? What about your home, what things do you want to surround yourself with. You don't have to do it in a big way. You can start within your means. You can create a little microcosm, a little world within this big world, and by creating and nourishing this little world, you begin to feel a sense of purpose. Then the big world we live in starts to have meaning. This is nothing new. You have heard this before, So why has it not worked? Maybe because we are creatures who need constant reinforcement? We have to constantly remind ourselves of these principles. We become so engross in the business of living that we forget the true reason for living, and what's really important in life. God, people, family, friends, and relationships. It's not important how much you have to give, But will you give of what you do have, time, love, sympathy, laughter, compassion, tolerance, and passion, and not just to others, but to yourself as well. You have to start with you. Don't be so hard on yourself. Love yourself. God loves you and he's a better judge than you are. Forgive quickly, it festers and hurts you the most when you don't. Practice being tolerant, no one is perfect, Not even you! Laugh; sing it's great for the mind, body and spirit. When you find yourself getting upset, immediately ask yourself, on a scale of this moment, and the rest of your life, how important is this? I'll bet you will find most of the time it's not all that important. You don't have to be right all the time you know. Sometimes being loved is better. And loving and caring for someone else, is even better, try it. Put their sense of worth and wellbeing ahead of yours, you will find you feel great and grateful to do so. Don't take yourself so seriously. Life is to be enjoyed. And remember this does not come easy, we have to practice, practice and practice. And then creatures of habits that we are, it becomes easier and easier. Well, that sounds like a purpose to me, and being happy and making others happy sounds very meaningful. What about you? Sometimes, We can't see the Forrest for the trees. We become so involve in searching for some deep mystical answer, that's going to make it all clear for us, and give meaning to our lives, that we forget to live our life with meaning. Some people think they cant' live their lives if they don't have all the answers. But that's pure deception. You don't have all the answers, no one does. How much do you know about science, technology, religions and other countries, the government, quantum physic or your own body. And yet most people manage to make it through to 70 or 80 years without being to perturb, over their vast lack of knowledge. There seems to be an answer, In that fact for me. Maybe we don't have to have all the answers. We only use a small percent of our brainpower anyway. (According to scientist). Maybe when we get the rest of it working, We will have all the answers, And then again Maybe not! I think I'll concern myself with what I have. I don't have hearing like a dog, but I can understand what I hear. I don't have an eagle's sharp vision, but I have enough vision, to appreciate what I do have. I can't see God, but I have been the recipient of his love and mercy. When I think about it, I have enough meaning and purpose in my life, Thank you God!
