WHERE WAS TITUS ANDRONICUS SHOT?

A 10,000 square foot soundstage was constructed within a 50,000 square foot structure near Tampa Airport, with fully dressed settings for a Roman street, an interior & exterior of a house, a tomb, a living forest, and various "royal palace" locations.

ANY SPECIAL EFFECT MIS-HAP OR "OUT-TAKE" STORIES?

Yes. Alot. Fortunately, no human beings or animals were harmed on the set, although we used real swords and real fire effects. In "the days of old", flaming arrows must have not been a very effective weapon, judging by their tendencies to alternately self-extinguish or destroy themselves. The special effects we employed were mainly puppets and mechanical devices. Before we lost count, over 15 gallons of custom-formulated stage "blood" were spilled and squirted in the "terminations" of over 2 dozen actors. Genuine all-too-rapidly decomposing animal entrails were acquired from a farm slaughterhouse, and were actually utilized all-too-slowly...

After having his face torn off, Alarbus squirms, wiggles and screams in protest.

EVERYONE LOOKS SWEATY. HOW DID YOU MAINTAIN THE LOOK OF A HOT CLIMATE?

Simply by maintaining the average temperature of the soundstage during shooting in excess of 110 degrees F. This is not difficult to do in a windowless, flat-roofed building at the end of summer in west central Florida. Actors not being drenched in blood were frequently misted with water-- (they were plenty sweaty on their own... the water was to cool them down!)

Lucius snickers and mocks Alarbus, before tossing the dying Goth's severed face off the steps of the Andronici tomb, and setting Alarbus' dismembered & disemboweled body aflame.

DO YOU CONSIDER NEW TALENT FOR FUTURE PROJECTS?
