Filament 0914
Purpose of Web Page
Filament 0914 is a straight to smoothly curved filamentous bacteria. It is between 50-200 µm long and its cells are square in shape (0.7x1.0 µm) without constrictions at septa. One characteristic of 0914 is its inclusion bodies (sulphur granules) tend to be square shaped as opposed to being circular like most other sulphur granules. 0914 may be seen floating freely in the bulk solution or extending out of the floc. May have incidental growth, no sheath. 0914 is Gram negative and Neisser negative.
