Filament 1863
Purpose of Web Page
The purpose of this web page is to present the physical and morphological aspects associated with filament 1863. 1863 is Gram negative and Neisser negative has a width of about 0.8 µm and a filament length of about 50 µm. Individual cells have a length between 1-1.5 µm. Filament 1863 is one of those filaments that is rare. This particular photo shows what appears to be branching. 1863 is a short, irregularly-bent filament found in the bulk solution and coming out of the floc.
