"Wastewater Organisms Database of Victor Santa Cruz Productions contains more than 200 references of microorganisms found in wastewaters, illustrated with Photomicrographs. In his one encloses the description and basic characteristics of the microorganisms: its size (length and width) and behavior to the Neisser stain. It contains one complete dichotomous key  for identifying the described filamentous microorganisms that allows, with single selecting the size options, Neisser stain & branching, acceding to his description illustrated with a photomicrograph. Other microorganisms of wastewaters like ciliated protozoa and  sessile ciliated protozoa, amoebas, algae (reference to algal  pollution index), fungi, rotifers, nemtodes, tardgrada gastrotricha etc,  and the types and characteristics of the training microorganisms of flc are also described. This interesting Data Base is an easy tool   to use who  contains a  very useful information. Its interesting  for the technicians who we worked in the wastewater processing. By gentility of Mr. Victor Santa Cruz, I received totally free a CD with the Wastewater Organisms Database."

"Mr. Victor Santa Cruz has produced a very beneficial and easy-to-use photographic database of wastewater microorganisms as a tool to assist wastewater operators and professionals in microbial identification.  The data base, which is read through Microsoft Access,  comes with a very large number of high quality, excellent resolution photomicrographs of most types of bacterial filaments and higher life forms that are found in aerobic secondary treatment system.  These include phase contrast pictures as well as stained preparations that better help in the identification of bacterial filaments.  The photomicrographs can easily be enlarged on the computer screen, to allow more easy view of often difficult to see structures such as septa (i.e. cross walls) and capsules.  I believe the data base will serve two very useful functions: 1) as a training tool for filament and higher life form identification, and 2) as a hand reference tool that can be used by both operators on site and by consultants on the road.  Mr. Santa Cruz has also included in the data base useful thumbnail information on the characteristics of the organisms (e.g. cell dimensions, staining properties, etc.), including a convenient dichotomous key to filament identification.  Searching for specific information has been made easy by the provision of well designed menus as well as the standard search features available in Microsoft Access.  At its very affordable price, no wastewater lab should be without a copy!"

"I' ve just received your outstanding database. It took a bit longer to arrive than I expected ( due to some custom clearance formalities, I guess...), but I' m glad I' ve finally got it. Anyway, I haven't got the time yet to fully enjoy your masterpiece, but at first glance it looks simply amazing. I must say that the resolution of the featured pictures made me hold my breath. How did you do that ?  I took some time to wander around some of the resources available on that CD you have so generously offered me, and I admit that you could have hardly done better. The bottomline is that your work does really deserve applause. I shall carry on with exploring your fascinating database. I ' ll let you know if I point anything strange. Again, Congratulations !!! You' ve done a great job."

Take care.

Best regards & Thanks,

1.  The database is well organized and easily navigated.
2.  The images are excellent.
3.  The filament ID chart is especially useful to us and anyone having to do
     ID work.
4.  Your proposed price for the database is very good if not a bit low (no
     complaints as a consumer!).
