Marriage recorded to Mary Delanoy. in Plymouth 29 Oct 1655
Marriage recorded to Mary Cobb, in Plymouth 15 Oct 1657
Death recorded as "Jonathon, son of John, Plymouth, 26 Aug
1650". If Jonathon, son of John, Sr., died 26 Aug 1650 and
-- Jonathon, son of John, Jr. was born 12 Aug 1650, that
would imply that Jonathon, son of John, Jr. married at the
age of 5 ! I believe Jonathon, son of John, Jr. was born 12
Aug 1650 and died 26 Aug 1650, and the Dunham line as we
know it continued through Jonathon son of John, Sr., not
John, Jr. Another mystery is my grandmother's claim that
Jonathon married Mary Bloomfield in 1669, is this a third
wife after Mary Delanoy and Mary Cobb?

Julia Wilbur was a Quaker and member of the Rochester
Ladies' Anti-Slavery Society. She relocated to Alexandria,
VA during the Civil War as the Society's agent to distribute
aid to the "contraband", or freed slaves. Trained as a
teacher before the war, Julia became involved in their
schooling as well. After the war, Julia remained in
Washington, D.C. and took a job with the U.S. Patent Office.
Julia's history has been documented in her own hand in the
form of diaries which she kept from 1844-94 - originals of
which are on file at Haverford College outside Philadelphia;
microfilm copies are available at the Alexandria public
library.
