"Mound Cemetery is located at Monroe in Lemon Twp. on
Rt.25/Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. From Hamilton, take Rt.4 to
Rt.63 to Monroe, at second traffic light on Rt.63 turn right
onto Rt.25, go through the downtown, past the community park
and you will see a gate and sign on the left for Mound
Cemetery. If you pass more businesses, you have gone to far.
It is named Mound Cemetery for it is actually an Adena
Indian mound with all of the present-day graves all over its
surface." -Larry Helton, spoors@erinet.com

Harry S. Knight states in THE KNIGHT HISTORY, "he was killed
at Dry Run saw mill, Perry Co. 1867." But see 1870 census.

According to the Rugenstein-Roos manuscript, August's
brothers and sister were not children who caused worry for
their parents. August on the other hand was a cause of
grief and concern for his parents up to the last days of
their lives.
[2071]
August emigrated to the U.S. with 5 of their 11 children,
with the intent to bring the rest of the family over when he
had earned enough money for their passage. The rest of the
family never made it to the U.S.
[2073] Alternate death date = 26 Aug 1897
[5068]
August was an estate manager at the time of his marriage to
Dorothea.
