Note: Inconsistency in recorted ages on census records for
1850 and 1860/70/80. Recorded age of 30 on 1850 census
would imply a birth date of ABT 1820. However, this is
inconsistent with a marriage date of 1833. The 1860/70/80
census records give her age as 45/55/65 respectively which
translates to a birth date of ABT 1815 which would make her
ABT 18 at the time of her marriage. Of further note is the
fact that the marriage record only records that Levi Wheat,
as bondsman, only affirmed the legality of the marriage and
does not record that he gave his consent, as would be
required if Malinda was underage.

"Belinda" as she is recorded on the census record is listed
as head of the houshold consisting of herself, her son
Robert W., his wife and three grandchildren. Nelson Brown
is living two doors away.

The source record cites two dates - 30 Oct 1833 and 9 Nov
1833. I suspect, but cannot prove at this time, that 30 Oct
1833 is the marriage date and 9 Nov 1833, which follows the
minister's name in the record, is the date of the minister's
"return" or filing of the marriage. Minister: William S.
