DAR ID #46488 (Vol 47, pg 221) & #81073 (Vol 82, pg 28),
(compilation) -- Thomas Collins (1729-1796) was a Whig, of
Spartanburg County, and while ill in bed was attacked by
"Bloody" Bill Cunningham with his band of Tories. His three
sons, John, William and Richard, were in the army, and when
he refused to tell their whereabouts the Tories hacked him
with their swords, leaving him for dead. Burried in Nazareth
Presbuterian Church Cemetary, Spartenburg Co, SC.

confirmed togeather on Palm Sunday 1840, and later married
on 30 May 1849. Anna Maria von Nida appears as a
witness/sponsor at the confirmations for both Daniel (with
co-witness/sponsor Daniel Salm [father?]), and Anna Marie
(with con-witness/sponsor Simon Becker).

There are conflicting genealogies regarding the parents of
"Trooper" John Snow. The general consensus is that his
father was Henry Snow and his mother was Mary. However Mary
appears as Mary Wilson, Mary Frost Wilson or Mary Frost in
various worldconnect projects, and Henry is alternately
listed as either born in England or Bedford Co., VA. Until
I have more definite evidence I am breaking off the line at
John.
