-Please send us your vacation schedules--any dates you will
be gone from 6/17/06-8/01/06. You can reply to this email and we will pass the info on to the coaches.
-Please
make sure your swimmers get timed in all strokes they are able to swim. If you did not attend Saturday's timing
meet, please contact your child's coach and make arrangements. Any swimmer without a new 2006 time will be considered
an "no time" swimmer and will go to the bottom of the eligibility when the A Meet sheet is prepared.
-What
to bring to "A" and "B" meets:
Swimmers should wear their team swimsuit (if they have one) and 2006 team tee shirt and bring: goggles, FH swim cap, two towels (one towel will always end up soaking wet or dirty from sitting on the ground early in the meet), sunscreen, $ for snacks. Do not bring cell phones or electronics (Ipods, Gameboys, etc).
-We would like each swim team family to donate 1 case of soda, water or Gatorade -
please drop it off in the guard room.

A few other reminders:
Practice protocol:
Only swimmers and coaches participating in practice are allowed "on deck." All parents, off duty coaches, and swimmers
not participating MUST remain seated under the pavilion or seated at an umbrella table.
This is for the safety of the swimmers and to preserve the integrity of the practice.
Meet protocol: Spectators must stay in the spectator section of the pool area. Parents who are
not working the meet as an official or timer may not approach the pool edge to "cheer" or "get their child's time."
The area behind the timers is to be kept clear. Safety is our primary concern and parents can be a distraction/obstacle to
those whose attention needs to be on the swimmers.
The meets are run by the NVSL rules and the Marshall must clear the deck of non-official people.
Swimmers
may not be "on deck" unless they have been called by the clerk of course. Swimmers must return to the team area after swimming,
purchasing food or using the restroom. It is important that the coaches know where the swimmers are for safety sake, to assist
the swimmers in preparing to swim, and to keep the cheering at a fantastically motivating level.
