Muslims, just like Protestants and Roman Catholics, have a right to the perceptions of their religion, even if that included dissenting rules of behavior such as imams refusing to shake hands with women, said the Dutch Justice Minister.

The Netherlands, one of democracy’s favorite lands and one of its Founding lands, has faithfully allowed for liberal immigration policies but, woe! a flood of Muslim emigrants from Islamic-ruled lands have rushed into Dutch cities. In 2006, there are 1 million plus Muslims including Dutch converts of Islamic “faith” in the Netherlands, with 400-500 Muslim places of worship and a much greater rate of fertility than the native Dutch populations.

 

Future Islamic Dutch Megacities?

Muslims in the Netherlands are concentrated in urban communities and they may be reasonably expected to become the majority populations in major cities in about a decade. The list of future Dutch-Muslim European mega cities includes, among others, the nation’s largest cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and possibly Utrecht. In 2003, the Netherlands passed laws requiring special education for imams, who are the “spiritual” leaders of Muslims, to ensure that they speak Dutch and maintain allegiance to “Western values”.

Following the murder of artist Van Gogh by a bearded Muslim fundamentalist in November 2004, the government moved to restrict immigration and to obtained laws to facilitate arrests in terrorism cases and to provide for holding suspects for up to two years before seeing a judge. A union of Dutch imams was created to negotiate important “religious” issues with the state. Existing official networks of Turkish and Moroccan sponsorship, which had exercised almost exclusive control in matters regarding Islam in Holland, had proven unworkable for dealing with the Dutch state.

 

Two new state-sponsored organizations were formed with some 600,000 Muslim members but intended to represent the entire Islamic population of the Netherlands, in so far as the matter represented concerns their religion. These are the CGI (Contact Groep Islam) and CMO (Contactorgaan Moslems en de Overheid, or Contact Body/Organ of Moslems and the Government).

Theo van Gogh was born in The Hague and known as a descendant of the famous painter Van Gogh’s brother. He was a writer and actor, film director, TV producer, and a publicist, a public person. He was murdered in November 2004 by one of the Islamist ḥaššāšīn, who had the name of Mohammed Bouyeri. Van Gogh’s murder followed by only a few months the release of his 10-minute movie Submission, which became famous because of his assassination. When his life had been threatened after the release of this movie about women in Islam, Van Gogh declined any protection saying, “Who would want to kill the village idiot?"

Being a very likeable, friendly, quirky, tolerant character in person, he was an active news columnist from the 1980s and as they  evolved, his columns were used to vent anger and air personal animosities about politicians, artists, writers, media directors and others he considered to be part of the "the establishment." As Holland's 'enfant terrible,' he antagonized many in that establishment and controversies stemming from him cost him many of his “fans.” Van Gogh opposed every aspect of every organized religion and so too managed to offend Jewish consituencies when he mentioned a possible preoccupation with the holocaust and Auschwitz.

 

Van Gogh was a member of the Republikeins Genootschap, a republican society that advocates the abolution of the Dutch monarchy; he strongly supported the 2003 Iraq invasion. In short, he was an artist with opinions and the skills to bring them to the awareness of the consciousness of the masses.

 

The priceless contribution of such an artist

 is to the histotical process of

mind evolution of the human race of Earth.

FOCUS ON ISLAM IN THE LATE 1990s

He began to focus his brilliance on Islam in the late 1990s. Could Dutch citizens become increasingly influenced by the Islamic point of view and lose their traditional tolerance and liberalism? His repeated reference to Muslims as geitenneukers (goat-fuckers) was a tolerance test which, reactive as a knock on the knee, seemed to bring out those fiery rages at being insulted, a well-documented symptom of the votaries of the Cult of Perpetual Outrage, as the word ‘geitenneukers’ gained coinage in the Dutch realm.

Later, he said he wished that he were younger 

so he could emigrate to the U.S.A, a nation which

he beheld as a beacon for liberal western societies

in a world darkening to the threat of

idological Islamism’s strategy of terror,

which is political Islam today, as always.

Van Gogh was poliically active and an ally of conservative leader Pim Fortuyn. Fortuyn was assassinated during his campaign and shortly before the election in 2002 by a Dutch animal rights dysfunctional. This assassin proferred only vague immigration concerns from which bloomed many conspiracy theories concerning the real chiefs of the assassination of Pim Fortuyn. Fortuyn’s party continued his name in the election and won 26 of the 150 seats, becoming the second-largest bloc in parliament. Van Gogh continued to find fault with the reformed party and its continuous bickering and scandals. Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a fellow artist and member of parliament, now became his political star.

Controversy caused his income to dry up as he lost accounts and soon his creative output was limited to his own website. The image of van Gogh left in the public mind was of a notorious chain smoker in an age when it wasn’t cool anymore. There was also, of course, his cynical outlook on love, his nihilistic outlook on life, his many episodes of heavy drinking and his flagrant use of a lot of cocaine. There is something too going on here in this drama about self-loathing of Dutch males in the face of the certainty of the jihadis who have gotten through the gates, into the lands of the Queen of Goodness and Tolerance.

"SUBMISSION"

Van Gogh's 11-minute movie Submission tells of four abused women living in Islamic societies and the traditional violence against them. The film was shown on the Dutch public broadcasting network VPRO on August 29, 2004. Its title reminds us that the meaning in English of the Arabic word Islam is submission.

We see naked women veiled in semi-transparent shrouds as they kneel in prayer, submissively as before a lord, and tell their stories as if they are speaking personally to Allah. It was the 11-minute film that cost him his life, for in Islam such artistry is blasphemy and the penalty for blasphemy is the submission to death.

The killer, one Mohammed Bouyeri, radicalized and bearded-looking in the al’Qaeda style, fired 8 carefully-aimed bursts from a Croatian handgun into our living, breathing, free-speech incarnation, early on the Tuesday morning of

November 2, 2004.

The artist was murdered by gunshot in his 48th year of life on the corner at Linnaeusstraat and Tweede Oosterparkstraat streets, on the sidewalk in front of the Amsterdam East borough office.

 

The assassin Mohammed then bent down to slit the artist’s throat in a near decapitation with a knife on the sidewalk, and then stabbed him multiple times in the chest before impaling a 5-page note to his victim’s body with a knife: the handles of two knives were left sticking from the body of the artist.

 

Mohammad B., a 26-year-old Dutch citizen and second-generation Morrocan, well-educated and apparently well-intigrated, was in fact an Islamist assassin with ties to something called the Dutch Hofstad Network terrorist operation. After being shot in the leg and siezed by police, Mohammad was charged with this murder plus the attempted murder of a police officer and a bystander, and conspiring to assassinate others, including Ayaan Hiri Ali.

 

The assassin is serving a life sentence from a three-judge panel who gave him no chance of parole after his conviction on July 26, 2005. Suddenly, the normal citizen had become bearded and robed, a radical and a bigot*. At trial, clutching a Qur'an while wearing a flowing robe with a black and white chequered headscarf, Mohammed B. praised Allah and the prophet Mohammed before admitting the killing.

The chief prosecutor told the court, "The accused preaches a message of hate and violence. He preaches that anyone who thinks differently can be killed." Prosecutors say that he had become dedicated to Holy War against the enemies of Islam and had murdered van Gogh to spread terror in the Netherlands. One of the notes found written by Mohammed proclaimed, "Islam will be victorious through the blood of martyrs who spread its light in every dark corner of this earth." He wrote for all to see that he wanted to be acclaimed a martyr for Allah’s victory.

 

*Bigot (Norman-English): a term of derision for people who cling blindly and tenaciously to creeds and beliefs that they believe (and constantly declare) come bi gott! (i.e., by God!).

Ayaan Hirsi Ali –

an artist in hiding under the censorship of

the Islamist Dutch Hofstad Network

 

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the woman marked for death and named on the note of the assassin of van Gogh, was born in Mogadishu, Somalia and became a Dutch citizen and a feminist politician, a famous and controvercial speaker, author and film maker, and a critic of Islam born of Islam. During the time of the Theo van Gogh assassination, she was just days away from her 35th birthday and was a member for the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) in the Lower House (Tweede Kamer) of the States-General of the Netherlands.

 

After the assassination which marked her for death, she went into hiding and in 2006 left her seat in the House after signing a mea culpa in an unrelated matter of her naturalization documentations, which scandal had led to the fall of the Balkenende II Administration that year.  Ayaan Hirsi Ali continues to require high security attention for the danger she faces to her life for her views critical of Islam and especially for the screen play she had written, Submission, directed by Theo van Gogh. She came to realize that she too was under the censorship of the shadowy Islamist Dutch Hofstad Network.

The 5-page note left stabbed into the bloody body of the artist was written in Arabic and signed by Mohammed the assassin as "Emir van de Muhajideen.” The contents of the notes have been associated with the doctrines and ideologies of the Egyptian (Arabic) Takfir wal-Hijra organization, meaning in English, ‘Excommunication and Exodus.’ So, E&E is the made-up name of a shadowy Sunni-Salafist entity, perhaps a confederation using many names, begun in Egypt in the 1960s to the ‘al’ Qaeda school of jihad’; in Spain it is called Martyrs for Morocco.

 

Another, second note was found on the person of the apprehended assassin, the dastardly shot-in-the-leg Mohammad, Emir van de Muhajideen.  The writings on the notes revealed to intelligence operatives the existance of a parallel Islamist universe in Western societies:  the Arabic words on the notes threatened Western governments, Jews, and — Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Following the fall of the Balkenende II cabinet, the next Dutch general election is scheduled for November 22, 2006. A current issue is the blasphemy law: to repeal it or make it stricter? Some insist, “We should not import a retarded political Islamic society to our country," while in the opposition are the campaigns for placators, dhimmis and appeasers, including the kleurrijk Nederland (colorful Netherlands) organization.

The social divisions can indeed be engineered by terror, using techniques of warfare far older than any prophet. To the Romans it was taught in the slogan ‘Divido et Imperium,’ divide and rule, to rule, divide, engraved in stone on buildings. Theo van Gogh’s son says he has been attacked by Moroccans several times but he can’t get police protection until a crime takes place. Ayaan Hirsi Ali remains under the protection of her bodyguards and seeks to relocate to America.

Diplomats of Turkey’s increasingly Islamist-infected  government expressed deep concern about the ideas held by some Dutch democrats that the Armenian Holocaust by the Young Turks was a genocide, even as Dutch parties try to create consensus on sensitive human rights issues and freedom of expression. Polarization and demands for special rights for Muslims has increased since that fateful assassination of the artist van Gogh in 2004, when mosques and some churches burned.

Police arrested dozens of people in connection with the wave of attacks, bomb threats, threatening letters and vandalism since the killing. A Dutch-based Islamist cell with links to the suspected killer of Theo van Gogh may have planned to attack former Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Manuel Barroso, Diario de Noticias newspaper reported. In a crackdown on militant Islamists, Dutch police raided a site they described as a terrorist training camp for Kurdish separatists in the southern Netherlands, arresting 38 people there and at other places in the country.

 

Now, Islamists recruit from the Turk-Morrocan Islamics in Holland who feel singled out and discriminated against. An estimated 50,000 militant Islamists are presently at large in a population of 1 million Muslims in The Netherlands nation state of under 17 million.  The jihad is eternal for those who believe it. Still, it’s on. You thought those dikes were a lot of trouble.

In Morocco, people have become used to police actions against a rising tide of Islamist militants but, after the 911 attacks on NYC and DC and after suicide bombings two years later killed over 30 beings of light in the nation’s economic capitol, Casablanca, things are getting serious. An estimated 60 people in a recent month were arrested in a plot to attack military and tourist sites as a move to bring down the monarchy. 

Look Now

Look now into a test tube for jihad in Europe, pay attention to this cradle of democracy under siege. Some people still consider van Gogh a blasphemer because he ridiculed organized religions’ dogmas, or too liberal because he ridiculed his own Dutch establishment and its monarchy. 

For others, Mr. van Gogh is a Freedom Fox hero,

a purveyor of the gifts of Liberty for the human mind,

a bloody martyr to freedom of consciousness and expression.
