The modern concepts of God and gods were unknown to the ancient Egyptians. Their divine beings, prototypes of today’s
angels (Elohim), were known as Neteroo (Neter-ū) akin to nature; Latin natura): Neters (male) and Neterts (female).
Each Neteroo was known by its image or personification, representing one or more of the living Universal Energies,
principles, forces and powers to which our senses have little or no access but whose essences, actions and interactions
forever conceptualize, create and maintain
the Cosmos and Life.
The knowing of the secrets of these realms enables practitioners in the
arts and sciences of magic, which arts and sciences concern themselves with the processes for causing change to occur in conformity
with Will. To The Children of Light, known to us as the ancient or Old Kingdom
Egyptians, everything, from the healing of the body to the building of the pyramids, is accomplished through processes
of magic.

ONE DIAMOND, MANY ASPECTS
Neteroo find their source of Being
in the timeless One from whom the All
radiates as a web of light from a center,
the invisible One known as Ptah,
the One who was not born but is,
always was and always will be,
Alpha and Omega and
Everyspace in between,
Many aspects of One.
It is Ptah who is the prototype for the Semitic, "Abrahamic", lonely and degraded concept called God or Allah. All of the neteroo are but aspects of Ptah, who transcends space-time yet can manifest
in any form in any time or place, with sublime subtlety or astounding force.
That which transcends space-time cannot
be said to exist, cannot be said to Be. The Idea of Ptah represents the ultimate Divinity, including all series of opposites
and having both manifest and non-manifest aspects. Out of what was self-aware
but non-manifest, without motion, formless, timeless, nameless and beyond mortal comprehension was brought forth
form and time —- matter and motion, energy and space, humans, the heavens, the stars, the sun, the moon, minerals,
fire, water, air, earth, animals, vegetation, thee and me, and all that Is, all that has Being.
Modern, post-Einstein physics posits that
the Universe is composed of four forces or archetypal principles: electromagnetism,
gravity, strong and weak nuclear forces. Einstein could not and his successors
have yet been unable to formulate a Unified Field Theory to unite these four into one, yet this is the ultimate goal of 21st
Century physicists. The Egyptian Idea of the neteroo similarly created a philosophic system that posited that the primordial
forces that govern all matter can be unified as One.
Through language and pictographs,
emotion and intellect, sense and dialectic, geometry and analogue, parables and myths, the teachers of Ptah sought to simplify
these complex teachings so that all the people could attain an Intuitive Transformation into Awareness of the Illumination
of the Universal Energies. They taught about the laws and principles that govern life, how to discover and apply this
sacred knowledge in their lives and pass it on to their children and their children’s children through the spoken Word,
song, stories, papyrus scrolls, art, architecture, and all other possible media, signs, forms, substances, sacrements, rituals,
performances, presentations, representations, replications, abstractions, syntheses, arts and sciences, etcetera.
"Intuition ... is absolute knowledge
founded on
the identity of the mind with the
object(s) known." Plotinus
"To wake the soul by tender strokes of art,
to raise the genius and to mend the heart.
To make mankind in conscious virtue bold
live o'er each scene and be what they behold."
Pope
A UNIVERSE OF ENERGY
These neteroo “spirits” are portrayed for human understanding by pictographs
and hieroglyphs of a multitude of human and animal forms known to all; known natures to help describe abstract and mostly
invisible realms of existence. These aspects of being are the obvious arrays of energetic forces that construe
and rule our lives but are elusive to our normal consciousness.
That is to say, although known by human and animal
forms and attributes, these markings of language were but the signs and symbols for Divine Concepts and were never
considered to be real animal or human beings, or even historical persons. Over time, however, the personification of these
concepts gave rise to the idea that they were indeed endowed with their own expressions of love, hatred and human passions
of every description. And, over time, real persons, such as Osiris and Imhotep were perceived as being neteroo, mortals
who had transcended mortality to become divine forces of nature which are inherent and alive in the cultural memory of mankind.
The original purpose of the images of the neteroo and their stories was to fix our attention,
we Children of Light, on these scientific and philosophical attributions, powers and realms [including our conscious
(in-awareness) and sub-conscious (out-of-awareness) minds] that are characteristic of life on Earth and critical for
the natural functioning of the Cosmos and our lives within it.
These neteroo and their realms are "living energies that contain ideas and information,
specific patterns of instinctual behavior and thought. They are the energies that somehow attach themselves, without our conscious
awareness, to everything we meet in the world we call real. [They] are the life energies that pour out of each of us unceasingly
night and day. . . influencing everyone in our lives and causing us to be influenced in return." (Edwin C. Steinbrecher, author
of, The Inner Guide Meditation.) Even if shown to be sitting, the neteroo is understood to be always in action, never
sleeping, forever creating the Cosmos in a never-ending process.
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
Each neter and netert has a specific or combination principle and/or function, plus a
name that is an abstract description of that power: Their names are the symbols of such attributes/functions/ forces/energies
and their hieroglyphs provide other description of these powers. The adoration of Isis, for instance, is communion with the
mother principle, the cohesive power of the Life Energy; of Osiris, the resurrection principle; of Ra, the solar principle
responsible for all creation on the Earth. All of these are names of Ptah just
as Bill Smith has many names representing his many roles, a name matched with the functions and the principles which
govern each; husband, father, teacher, coach, farmer, citizen, thinker, writer, bowler, gardener, tool-builder, carpenter
and so on and on, and even fool, representing man in his quintessential form, with no personality, ideas, functions or roles
at all but only creative energy.
The hieroglyphs (sacred glyphs) use many symbols and
devices to reveal the nature of each neteroo: dress, feathers, color, size, gestures, sacred objects (flail, scepter, staff,
ankh, etc.), headdress, crowns and animal heads, other hieroglyphs, animals and plants, the position of the body, and sacred
geometrics (e.g., circle, line, square, oviad, triangle, and cross). The most prolific symbols found in
the art of ancient Egypt include the Ankh, equated with Life eternal and the cosmic consciousness that All is One and One
is Many. Another common symbol is the Udjat Eye, a template of humanity sensuality and portal to the code for the transformation of consciousness.
We shall see.

| ANKH |
The Ankh, which replicates the "shape" of the
super-conceptual Tree of Life (qAbAlA), is also called a bootstrap, by which one may pull
oneself up to higher consciousness. Or, perhaps the bootstrap that holds thine foot to thine soul, the soul that will take
an impression of thine being. These hieroglyphs in their entirety constitute a sacred, physical, psychological, physiological,
scientific and spiritual language, the understanding and use of which are the tasks of initiates, the scribes, for
the comprehension of the mysteries of the neteroo.
They are the prototypes
of the alphabet and cartoon caricatures of today, meant to tell stories and familiarize us with the concept-Words
with which we describe our recepts (sense impressions) of the world. The use of concepts has magically and enormously expanded
our consciousness of our experience of our lives in the world. This can be understood as we begin to notice and appreciate, as Richard
Bucke pointed out in Cosmic Consciousness (1901), that a concept is to a recept as algegra is to arithmetic.
For self-conscious beings it truely can be asserted — At
the beginning of Thought in our dimension, is the Word!
Yet, at the beginning as now, the Word is not the reality
just as the map is not the territory. In the realms of creativity, however, Words can create realtities in space-time
while maps must remain only reflections of space-time.
NO DOMAINS OF SEPARATION
In all times the favorite neteroo of the Children of Light were human figures dressed
in the shepherds’ long robes and seated or standing in a shepherds' classical poses, tending their prescious flocks.
All initiates into the Mysteries aspired to recreate within themselves, with the support of the neteroo and their fellows,
to replicate the persona of the Master of the World, who is Osiris the loving neter of resurrection, who leads others
to the Light. We see Osiris the Perfect Shepherd, the Good Shepherd, leading his flock to a self-renewing vitality and
fertility, which is their birthright.
Many temples to the neteroo were placed up and down the Nile, each a shrine for the neter
or netert who embodied a specific aspect of Ptah, each a center for the social life of the people. The temple is construed as a model of the Cosmos from the point of view of the neteroo to whom it is consecrated,
and each temple has an inner sanctum for revelatory rites celebrated by the hierophants (those who choose to reveal the sacred)
and where initiates are instructed in the mysteries of the temple’s neter or netert.
Yet, in this sacred study there are not exclusive sects, restrictive dogmas or forbidden temples; all aspects of worship
(worth-ship) are encouraged and everyone is inspired to participate in any and all.
The Divine
Trinities
The idea of trinity pervaded the Egyptian ideas of divinity and the most fundamental plane
surface, the triangle, construes their famous Pyramids, last remaining Wonders of the Ancient World. The energies of the neters
and neterts interacted in mythology as dramatizations of the cosmic and natural Energies and their relationships. Each principle
has different triune applications or roles in the Universe and so: the neter Ra who rises as the Sun in the morning and causes
thee to come into being as Ra is named Khepri; Ra ascendant in the sky is fully Ra; the aspect of Ra at the setting of the
Sun and the completion and end of day is named Temu. Also, the unions of certain pairs or twins of complementary forms (e.g.
male and female) are seen to interact and result in a third energy or attribute which comes into being only through their
interactions.
In our lives in space-time the phenomena of threes are so pervasive that they become a
part of the elusive obvious of our lives. In time there is the past, present and future and in space we find here, there and
the space in between, the beginning, middle and end. Other triplicities of which we can become aware include: being (self
awareness), doing (process), having (appropriation); thought, Word, action; spirit, mind, body; conception, creation,
experience; essence, manifestation, substance; Sat (essence of being — "I am,"
"I know"), Chit (thought or intellection — "I think," "I will"), Ananda (bliss,
pleasure in the course of events — "I act," "I energize"), etcetera.
AdventurerS in Consciousness
Are
you thrilled? Today’s Adventurers in Consciousness will certainly want to explore the Divine Concepts of the old Egyptians,
concepts that have permeated the world and formed the basis of all the world’s religions. From zero to the cross, we
find the symbols for these concepts everywhere. They bring with them infinite Energy.
But
these holy concepts were confused by Iron Age “noblemen” of power who made literal the figurative language of
the ancients, who burned books and murdered immeasurable millions to create the myths of historical “god-men”
from whom their tyrants could claim descent and so authority over the “masses.” So, the eternally living Christ,
who manifests as Osiris, Isis, Horus and Thee, became an historical dead man survived only by his priests who sell time at
his empty tomb. By these priests the neteroo were called idols of pagans, which pagans were profaned and called polytheists
by the lords of power and their hired priests who rule by profaning and by threats of hell.
Resurrection is
a reality substantiated by Osiris but then, then in the kingdoms of the male gods, it came to pass that intervention
by clergymen was required. Intervention was granted as a reward for following the rules laid down by the powerful under
the authority of “religion” to dispirit the ruled into submission to the “lords.”
Obey.
And then you can go to heaven when you die. The lords of the land and their servants the lords of the temples promise pie
in the sky only when you too die, for the world is evil and one must work to survive, and compete with our brothern in service
to the lords of power.
Well, it wasn't all bad because
we replaced slaves with machines. For the most part it left a horrible scar on the collective psyche of "civilized" human
beings who served the armies and machines. Joyce said history was a nightmare from which he was trying to awake
So
it is that we lost the true gnosis of the true gospel (good news), the news of the divinity of the Energy in us
and around us, the energetic forces of which are construed all the truths of Life. The Adventurer in Consciousness will certainly
want to explore the divine concepts of power from which the lies were construed. Only in this realm of spiritual reality is the
union of ka and ba free and sovereign in a kingdom of beauty, truth and justice.
We can look back to the ancient Egyptians and their pursuit of personal happiness and well
being through the opinion of Heraclites about them even at the late date of about 500 B.C.E. The “Father of History” said:
“Of all the nations of the world,
the Egyptians are the happiest,
healthiest and most religious."

"The first creature of God in the work of the days
was the light of the sense, the last the light of reason,
and his Sabbath work ever since is the
illumination of his spirit."
Bacon
WORK IN PROGRESS - Y'ALL COME BACK!
NOTE: Do not "believe" anything you read here,
as these are interpretations and not truth.
The truth is not mine to tell,
as truth dwells only
in the beings of the neteroo
for us to discover
experientially and individually.
