1. The element of time – the cultivation of a sense of patience:

 

Al-Qaeda has all the time in the world and endless patience belongs to the dedicated jihadists, because their operational tempo is dictated by the tenets of their brand of fundamentalist Islam. Religious dogma fills the air as languaging, and as a fog it puts a damper on thinking. The jihadist dogma describes a “religion” designed to infuse its principles and decreed laws into all aspects of the followers’ life, into all aspects of their thinking and behavior, even into their most intimate realms of privacy,  Allah knows everything; men, his slaves, know nothing. Unlike mere mortals, Allah is most patient, and merciful, and most gracious and divinely beneficient -   to those subjects who obey Him and walk the straight path. He is said to be compassionate to the weak, the stupid and the unfortunate. The same divine being is absolutely ruthless and harsh in His punishments for unbelief, deviancy, making mischief in the land or for breaking of one of the one million and one rules and regulations for right living, which is defined as right worship.  The punishments of fire are reserved for Allah's use alone.  All time is Allah's and He will do as He will, InshaAllah!

In July 2005, Brit security discovered a plot to hijack 6-10 American airliners over the Atlantic from Britain and crash them into U.S. cities. It was the same plot developed by Ramzi Yousef, who failed in his preparations to carry out the high jack from Asia of 12 airliners to blow up in American cities in 1994-95. Ten years later, the plan was implemented again. Al Qaeda will keep on trying, however long it takes: time is no object.

 

2. The Element of Stealth - Attack with surprise and leave no clues at the scene of the crimes:

 

The second characteristic of al’ Qaeda is the perfect nature of the typical terrorist crime. Such is the engineering of the plans that the security of the planners is not to be compromised in their execution.

 

This is the requirement that frames all of al Qaeda’s methods of operation. Its operatives never leave behind clues that might reveal  the mastermind structure of any terror plot.

 

 

AL’QAEDA: SUCCESSFUL IN

LEAVING INVESTIGATORS IN THE DARK

 

Six years have passed since a suicide bomb-boat rammed a big hole in the side of the USS Cole in the Yemeni port of Aden;

Five years have passed since the massacre of 9/11;

Two years have passed since the Madrid rail bombings;

One year has passed since the bombing attacks on London’s transport system.

 

Yet to date, not a single US, European, Middle Eastern or Israeli intelligence service can claim to have a lead to the plotters, the organizers or the individuals who launched the terrorists on their missions of death. Neither has any counter-terror agency any clear concept of how the mechanism which sets the attacks in motion works, just theories, no solid information. That is to say, we have developed no information identifying the masters of jihad, and no idea how they might be able to launch violence, either in America or on the fronts of war.

 

This lacuna, this mysterious hole in the ground, this lack of intelligence, raises two serious problems.

 

Problem One: The Enemy's Stealth.  The fact that there has been no large-scale attack on the U.S. recently is because the perpetrators just have not been ready. The plan (plans), has not become ready for actualization. It’s not as though they can’t attack since now, as ever, our open society is not difficult for dedicated stealth invaders to penetrate.

 

The delay between attacks is only because an al-Qaeda plan must achieve a significant devastation and is ready for execution only when the planners are absolutely sure the attack leaves no tracks leading back to the level that controls the perpetrators-suicide bombers.

 

The fear of citizens during the delay is itself the desire and intention of the perpetrators, the terror brigades who shout the name of Allah as they sew seeds of fear among the infidels in His name. 

 

The organization's ability for stealth is the sine qua non for Osama bin Laden’s operations and this invisibility is the perhaps insuperable challenge confronting Western intelligence. That’s why they are calling it the Long War.

 

Second: Many operatives are widely dispursed. Still, always, somewhere in the world, an al Qaeda team or teams are putting together a horrendous terrorist attack for execution in the United States, Europe or Israel or elsewhere, including the lands of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Arabia. This threat continues to grow despite successful military efforts and the elimination of high-profile jihadists, and notwithstanding American and British intelligence and counter-terror achievements.

 

The coming stupendous al'Qaeda attack may take one year, 5 years or twenty years to perpetrate. The jihadists are active and as yet mostly invisible to Western intelligence, but we can count on it – because we know from the nature of the beast that operations are in preparation, operations designed to leave retaliatory forces blind to the source of the attack.  The attacked living ones are left only with the pieces of the dead Islamikazis and false trails to follow, false targets for relieving the pressure for revenge thwarted.

 

3. The Element of Involvement - Create many fronts for the Crusaders to deal with:

 

The third observable characteristic that is noticeable about al-Qaeds is the many fronts they have formed around the world and within America and other Western nations. The fronts, which are divisions, are created and managed by extremists every where Muslims have communities. Groups meld together to express a collective front against other groups, to make demands, to punish dissent. These divisions also  are created internally in non-Muslim communities, as populations divide between placators and militants.

 

One front in America arises like smoke from a confusion which weakens the nation’s resolve to unite. It is a point of view that prefers not to classify al-Qaeda’s vicious attacks against U.S. military representatives in Iraq as a part of the “war on terror.”  When this point of view becomes a belief, as all beliefs do,  it disables one's ability to see and to observe and to act in accordance with real circumstances. It is the job of Freedom Foxes to redirect many uninformed opinions by creating and presenting abstract as well as direct experiences of the true Nature of the Enemy, the many-headed Medussa of Islamist jihad.

Despite some confusions, is it not clearly obvious that al-Qaeda’s sabotage of U.S. goals in Iraq has been and is, a purposeful and deadly attack on the United States of America?  For years now, Osama has staked huge resources in Iraq for generating violence, misery and untold deaths in that unfortunate nation. He enrolls huge investments from Arabia to spend in the fight, because he regards his campaigns against the U.S. in Iraq as the ultimate assault on the United States of America and all it stands for.

An Osama Masterpiece

 

 The opening of a new front, the creation of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, was an apparently bodacious act for Osama, for he had to give up direct command of the vital ground forces by placing them under the orders of Abu Musab al Zarqawi. Zarqawi the Syrian, the self-fashioned model of the Prophet, the one who had transformed himself into a jihadist, was not an insider, not in Osama’s circle, yet this outsider founded, fashioned and formed the sinews of al Qaeda in Iraq.

 

In the second half of 2004, Osama moved to give more soldiers to al’ Qaeda Inc. in Iraq when he launched a worldwide recruitment campaign to bring young jihadists to the Islamic Land of the Two Rivers to resist the invading infidels, and later dissenting Muslims. And they began to come from many places to fight in that land, good Muslim lads indoctrinated in jihad. Observe the timing of this new drive, for whatever it may be worth. This recruitment campaign for Iraq followed by exactly 20 years Osama’s famous campaign to recruit an army of young Muslim zealots to drive the Red Army out of Afghanistan, financed by contributions from the CIA and from Saudi Arabia.  With that withdrawal of the Red Army, Osama became an acclaimed Hero of Islam.

 

So fixated was this hero’s attention on the Iraqi front against the US army that he defended Zarqawi and his methods against long-time companions like his No. 2, the Egyptian Jihad Islami leader Ayman Zahahiri. The al Qaeda leader ‘won the argument’ and he was not disappointed in his protégée.

 

After the Americans killed Zarqawi in a bomb strike on a Hibhib “safehouse” in June, 2006, Osama counted up his protégée’s achievements as commander of al Qaeda in Iraq with its tentacles, chiefly Ansar al Islam and Ansar Sunna. Of the 2,165 American soldiers who died in combat from the start of the Iraq war until Sept. 9, 2006, al Qaeda and its affiliates were responsible for about 1,000 deaths.

 

COMPARING POINTS OF VIEW ON THE MIND-FRONT

 

This following opinion points to the ways in which many Americans separate by their reasoning, in their thinking, in their minds; how they distinguish the battle fronts of Afghanistan and Iraq as two separate, unconnected, wars. It's about asking the wrong questions:

 

An expert says that the number of Americans who were killed after 9/11 by al Qaeda or al Qaeda-like operatives outside Afghanistan and Iraq “is not much higher than the number who drown in bathtubs in the United States in a single year, and that the lifetime chance of an American being killed by international terrorism is about one in 80,000 – about the same chance as being killed by a comet or meteor.”

 

ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS. In the real world, the realpolitik, in Afghanistan and Iraq, American citizen-soldiers are under constant, brutal assaults on their own immediate realities at the front lines of war, contending with and fending off the fanatical attacks orchestrated by al’ Qaeda. The main issue here is not the number of casualties but the upsurge in violence and the fact that it took the US Army three whole years to eliminate Zarqawi, three critical years which finally made the Iraq war (virtually) unwinnable!

 

IRAQ CIVIL WAR IS ON

In the time shortly before his death, Zarqawi had managed to kindle the flames of sectarian civil war after he actually issued a fatwa declaring war against Shiite Muslims. In no time, the religious violence raging between Sunni and Shiite Muslims wiped out the last slim chance of establishing in Baghdad a stable federal regime. In the long term, the Shiite-Sunni dissent and conflict will have a far-reaching impact on the internal cohesion of the entire Muslim world. But, the alliance of tribes in al'Anbar, Iraq, does gives some hope - again. (See Iraqalypse Now)

By now, the 5th anniversary of the 911 massacre in New York City, the level and intensity of inter-sect terror in Iraq are such that the US army is not only incapable of gaining victory but unable even of curbing the Iraqi insurgency. American forces no longer control large swatches of the country – and that applies even more to the New Iraqi Army.

 

Iraq’s volatility is irradiating the nations around it and so the U.S. President’s vision of a democratic ideal, the fountainhead of his worldview and policy, has thus far not been realized during the assault on it, on the Ideals of a Land of the Free. The Republic, designed to foster the Liberty of free thinking, is again and again dealt blows from the death-dealing hands of al’ Qaeda’s fundamentalist Islamic-terrorist creed.

 

Quite the reverse of the desired outcome of the democratic project has happened: a means of legitimacy has been given to the Islamists, grown from the seeds of democratic ideals! The jihadists have seized on elections and slogans of democracy to be boosted to leadership by mass movements. Using electronics, democratic forms and elections, they seek to leverage themselves into the seats of power in their countries. The ballot box gives their violent, coercive methods the stamp of legitimacy, or so they believe. The Palestinian Hamas is one such example; the Lebanese Hizballah another. The long-banned Muslim Brotherhood is electioneering in Egypt.

 

But when the populations have been subdued under the new, Islamist form of government, the full dogmas and doctrines will be imposed, with their rewards and punishments. To Allah alone is reserved the punishment by fire.

A Prediction in Conclusion

U.S. back to the top of al Qaeda’s jihad list

 

The writers conclude this report with the prediction that in the post-Zarqawi era, his terrorist network in Iraq will crumble into splinters. The splinters will be soaked up by the larger Sunni guerilla organizations and at this point, al’ Qaeda will fold its tents in Iraq and move on to new fronts. And at this point, the United States of American will again rise to the top of bin Laden’s targets.

 

So, it cannot therefore be said that al Qaeda’s threat to America has faded: the menace rather may come back full circle at any time, some time in the future. Al’ Qaeda mission requires the techniques of terrorism and the creation of new fronts for jihad, first especially in Islamic lands. There is planted a deadly seed of religious tyranny and submission of the masses which will eliminate infidels and enforce the true faith.  It is imperative in their faith to relegate nonbelievers into the realm of nonexistence, a space to which freethinkers are sent with the pain of death.

 

Those insanely convinced of the beauty of their deaths in jihad will continue to use bombs and propaganda, or whatever it takes, for as long as it takes. Infidels lack authenticity. Jihad is compulsory. Islam is the answer. In the face of the victory of this mind tyranny, people who are know they are free and love to be free should become more “evangelical” in their insistence on freedom of consciousness for every being of the Light. An inalienable right to Liberty, wherever they may be and whosoever they may be.

 

There is hardly a motivating force stronger than the god-fearing, reward-punishment beliefs of cults ruled by the sword, unless, of course, it is the aggressive and convincing Will of an insistence on freedom of conscience for Everyman. It is the fury of the Fellowship of Freedom Foxes.  Can you feel it glowing?  It often comes as a heart-hunger after a fear, after one thinks and experiences in imagination the serious feelings of living in a world that bans freethinking.

Twenty-five of about 31 tribes in Anbar Iraq came together for the first time on September 17, 2006 and announced to the government in Baghdad their plams to join forces and create a militia of 30,000 willing to confront and kill the foreign insurgents, who are mostly gathered around Ramadi. This would drive out of their province the some 1,300 al’ Qaeda sponsored foreign-born jihadists and associated criminal gangs who are financially backed by foreign intelligence services, which backers are known to the tribal leaders.
