So many milestones. He's been baptized. The day care
folks say he has taken a step or two on his own, though he prefers to
grab onto us when we're all at home together. And he's been in a
swimming pool. (We mean that literally ... we don't think he's "been"
in a swimming pool, though he was wearing a special product from
Huggies ... you get the idea.)
He was baptized at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in
Berlin, Md. Other notables who were baptized there: Me, my mom,
probably my great-granddad. Several generations of Hammonds (mom's
family) are in permanent attendance next to the sanctuary.
And of course, it was a nice opportunity to dress him
up:

Other highlights from the month, all featuring the one
we call "Serious Moo" or occasionally "The Professor." He's not angry,
he's not upset ... he's just not quite sure what we're doing and won't
stop staring until he figures it out. We're hoping that happens by the
time he's 3.

saucer was retired from heavy rotation in his play routine. Left: Dad
and baby at the pool. |
