Wildcats Pre Season Party

We got there just before 4 PM among the first to arrive. We go in, I see Jim Gooley, VP for the Cats, and turns and goes, “Say Hi to Heather O’Reilly, Lindsay Tarpley and Kacey White”

My Daughter and her Friend get to get autographs from the three immediately, not a bad start to our day.

Soon after, more players arrive, I spot Cat Reddick, we go over, say hi, the girls get her autograph and I go…. OK, Congrats and lets see it. I tell her that I was asked to get a pic of the ring and she was kinda shocked, but she said she was enjoying showing it off.

My Wife was settled down off the deck. I was on my way back to her when I see Jenny Benson so I shoulder bumped her lightly… Jenny was happy to see a couple of familiar faces (My Family and another Charge fan were there) so I brought her over to see the wife, the new baby and the two girls

It was great to talk soccer with her and catch up like old friends. We really got to know her from the Charge as she was one of the 4 players who signed autographs and loved to talk to the fans until they turned the lights off.

They then did the player and organizational introductions…  

So we got to see all the other players, I missed Christine Latham somehow though.

The best part of the day was when all kids started playing soccer and Heather ran out and started playing with them, then she got all the UNC girls to play, even Cat

Then Heather started playing games with the kids, having them throw in the ball at her and hit her with the ball…. And also a Head/Catch opposite game… I had to jump in on the last round and have her throw the ball at me a few times, she almost got me out right away, but I made a quick recovery… I gave it up at the end and let one of the kids win…..

I will write more when I have had a chance to sleep and get it down right.

OH, BTW – USSOCCER is planning a friendly with Canada for July (depends on the contract getting done)
