Valley
of the Dry Bones
There
is a famous African American Baptist sermon preached from the 37th chapter of the OT's Book of Ezekiel called the
“Valley of the Dry Bones”. It is the foundation of Hoodoo.
The Prophecy 1-10
Ezekiel
37 1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and
carried me out in the Spirit of the LORD and set me down in the midst of a valley
which was full of bones.
2 And caused me to pass by them and around about: and behold, there were very
many in the open valley; and, lo they were very dry.
3 And he said unto me, "Son of man, can these
bones live?" I said, "O LORD God, thou knowest."
4 Then he said to me, "Prophesy unto these bones and say to them, O ye dry bones,
hear the word of the LORD!
5 Thus said the LORD God unto these bones: Behold I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 I will lay sinews upon you and will bring up flesh upon you and cover you with skin; and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.'"
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded, and as I was prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a rattling, and the bones came together, bone
to his bone.
8 And when I beheld, lo the sinews and the flesh came upon them and skin covered them above, but there was no breath
in them.
9 Then he said to me, "Prophesy unto the wind; prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the LORD God:
Come
from the four winds, O breath, and
breathe upon these slain, that they may live.'"
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet -- a vast army.
Why
was the VISION spoken of in the 37th Chapter of Ezekiel so important
to the Baptist preacher? It was important FIRSTLY because it mentioned THE BONES, the foundation of the Hoodoo concept of
the Old Souls, the Slave Ancestors. SECONDLY
because the chapter contains the covenant or promise made by the LORD (Lawd) God directly to his people. Finally, the 37th
chapter gives ritual methods for causing “dem bones” to live, and for re-uniting the divided “house”
of “Israel” as well as tells who the spiritual heads or leaders of the Ancestral
African Nation are.
What
is Israel?
The TRUE Israel is a state found only in Spirit. It requires
that one be dead.
- In Egypt
the Afterlife was called the DUAT or TUAT
- in Haitian Vodoun culture it is called
GININ
- in Tibetan Buddhism and Dzogchen it is the
BARDO,
- in Western occultism the ASTRAL PLANE,
- in Christianity it is HEAVEN which actually is the Sky above, i.e. the constellations or star groupings.
The *Star* of David symbolizes the geometric form taken by the SUN
which is DOUBLED. It shows the inter- relationship between the incarnated and the discarnate which is the relationship
of the SOUL and the BODY.
Who is Israel?
Israel is also the name associated with Jacob in the Christian Bible AFTER his death. Jacob was the metaphor, for the physical body and it's personality/mask but Israel is the name
of a SOUL.
The awareness
shifts once you understand that in the entire Old Testament “Israel”
refers not to incarnate men or woman in the flesh, but to living
souls or stars (astral bodies) that have VICTORIOUSLY vacated their containers of flesh.
Victory tells us
that the DRY BONES are the righteous remnant, the 144,000 who were amongst the dead yet they lived.
SOULS
are the DENIZENS or inhabitants of the TRUE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. The House of Israel refers to the Heavens and to STARS IN
THE SKY. The Bible's 2 parts the Hebrew O.T. and the Greek NT speak in metaphors and parables. The Bible is
a coded document.
There is an African American Spiritual
(Invoking Song) called “Dem Bones” that tells how Ezekiel connected the bones:
Ezekiel cried out to dem dry bones.
Now hear the word of de Lawd
Ezekiel connected dem dry bones.
Now hear the word of de Lord.
Da toe bone connected to da foot bone.
Da foot bone connected to da ankle bone.
Da ankle bone connected to da leg bone.
Da leg bone connected to da thigh bone.
Da thigh bone connected to da hip bone.
Da hip bone connected to da back bone.
Da back bone connected to da shoulder bone.
Da shoulder bone connected to da neck bone.
Da neck bone connected to da head bone.

This
old *slave song* is calling on those who are WISE and asking them to help us *connect
the dots*, show us how to put together the jigsaw puzzle that SPELLS out the truth behind
the confusion of earthy appearances so one is not caught up in the madness and ignorance that is not bliss but DEATH
to one's immortal soul.
