Hachiko

This is me with the famous statue of the Akita dog "Hachiko". The statue stands in the square in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, just outside the Hachiko entrance to Shibuya Station. This is an incredible meeting place for Tokyoites and everyone in Tokyo knows Hachikko and the story of Hachiko which you can find elsewhere by doing a simple search.

Here's something you don't see in books or on the web. It's the back view of Hachiko.

And here's a side view of Hachiko. Tokyo is great, by the way. You should go. Make finding Hachiko your goal. Just take the Yamanote Line to Shibuya Station and walk to the statue.

The entrance to Shibuya Station nearest the Hachiko statue is actually named after the Akita.

As you can see, the entire wall of the Hachiko Entrance to Shibuya Station is dedicated to Hachiko. This dog is more famous than Lassie.
