This is a picture of my old American Staffordshire Terrier, Spike. He was a dual registered dog so he qualified as a U.K.C. Pit Bull as well. Spike was a good dog in many respects but he was too tough around anyone but family for us to keep him. Before allowing anyone to get hurt, I did the smart thing and after having raised him from the age of 4 weeks, I gave him back to the person who had given him to me.
Here's my buddy, Chief Gerry Pleasant with his dual registered American Staffordshire Terrier / American Pit Bull Terrier. This is a pretty dog to be sure, but he's much to showy for me. I prefer a working body type as opposed to one bred to impress show judges who wouldn't know a working body type if they looked one right in the eye.
