This picture of this "Broholmer" was sent to me by Kare Konradsen of Norway. The Broholmer is a Danish Mastiff. It is believed to be of ancient origin and it is probably a decendant of the Mastiffs brought from England to Denmark by the Vikings during the Viking occupation of Southern England. It is said that the breed never went completely extinct and that the Broholmer dogs of today are not a modern reconstruction. I really don't know.
