European Style Dessert Cakes
 
are delectable chocolate, fruit or other favorite flavor fillings sandwiched between layers of flavored sponge cake. Toppings vary from rich chocolate or fruit glazes to French meringue, or fluffy buttercream.  The cakes listed below are my original versions of  traditional recipes, but, of course, you may choose to vary the combinations of cake, filling or topping.
  Just ask - the possibilities are delicious!

My favorite choices are listed below. 
Cake sizes are indicated -  Each serves 16 - 20 dessert-sized servings
Please Note: I have had requests for sheet cakes with interesting fillings - Most of these dessert cakes can be made as a sheet cake with 2 layers of cake and a decadent filling and topping!  Just ask for sizes and prices.

Apricot Cake
Apricot and cream fillings, layered  with vanilla cake and topped with Italian Meringue and toasted sliced almonds.

Chocolate cake layered with chocolate mousse and cherry with cream fillings.  Glazed with chocolate genache, decorated with cherries and whipped ceam.

Traditional Buche de Noel
Your choice of Chocolate or Vanilla cake, rolled with your choice of chocolate, coffee, vanilla or fruit filling.  Iced with your flavor buttercreme icing and decorated with traditional meringue mushrooms and holiday decor.
Small (serves 12-16) ------- $35.00
Large (serves 25 - 30) ------ $55.00

Cafe au lait 
Layers of vanilla cake and coffee cream filling, covered with a caramel glaze garnished with  coffee-buttercream on the sides, and decorated with cream and chocolate-covered espresso beans.

Orange flavored white chocolate mousse, sandwiched between layers of chocolate cake and covered with an orange flavored dark chocolate glaze.

Rich chocolate sponge layers, filled with Chocolate Peppermint Truffle filling.  Finished with Peppermint Buttercream on the sides and Chocolate Peppermint Genache on the top

Italian Dream Cake
My friend Julie turned me onto this recipe from her mother. This is my version of what I have found to be a favorite of many. 
 
Moist layers of coconut & nut flavored cake, filled  with cream and a touch of apricot filling.  Finished with cream cheese icing and toasted nuts.

Traditional Italian Cassata
Slices of vanilla butter cake layered with cherry-chocolate Ricotta cream. Chilled well and iced with lightly sweetened Chantilly Cream.  Finished with maraschino cherries and toasted, chopped nuts.
9" Domed cake -Serves 20 - 24 ------- $35.00

A Peach of a Cake
Layers of vanilla sponge, fruity peach filling and rich Creme Legere .  Surrounded by vanilla buttercream and topped with peach glaze.

Peanut Butter Cake
Layers of rich chocolate sponge, alternated with a layers of Peanut Butter mousse and cream fillings. Finished with a coating of chocolate glaze.

White cake, espresso-flavored Mascarpone cheese filling,  covered with cream and dusted with cocoa.
