(meet announcement)Fayetteville Terry Sanford High School will be hosting the 1st Annual Pepsi Challenge High School X-Country Meet starting at 9:00am at Mazarick Park in Fayetteville on October 9, 1999. Boys and Girls Championship trophies and Runner-up trophies will be awarded as well as medallions to the top seven finishers in each race.The course is a double loop course (each loop is exactly 2.5km) consisting of grass, dirt, sand and gravel trails through scenic Mazarick Park. The start/finish area is on a parking lot and is the only part of the course that is on concrete. It is a fast course with rolling hills throughout the park and Glenville Lake area.
