The Illini Skyriders are a group of people who enjoy the simple freedom of flight in which ultralight aircraft are allowed to operate under Federal Aviation Regulation Part 103. The Illini Skyriders was founded in early 1982 by a small group of people, some of whom are still active with the club.  The Illini Skyriders have enjoyed over 20 years of activity with new members and others within the aviation community. The Illini Skyriders meet monthly on the third Saturday at various locations in the Champaign County area, except in December, to have fun, fly, and tell tall tales. We also discuss things related to building, flying and maintaining ultralight and light aircraft, and enjoy the general camaraderie.
