Player Characters - Game 1
- Arnaud has the look of a
mercenary, tough, massively built, with well used armour. Though not
tall at 5' 10" he has a strong presence much aided by his Mediterranean
features and hawk nose with dark brown hair and eyes. Based on the
happenings of the past couple of days Arnaud seems to understand
English, Norman French and Welsh.
Played by David Stengle
- Bauduin Griffiths is the tallest
of the group at 6' 3" and has the look of a fighter. Bauduin seems to be
able to use his spear and pony as well as any member of the chivalry. He
too understands English, Norman French and Welsh. He has brown wavy
hair and an average complexion.
Played by Ed
- Caradoc is a Welshman skilled in
the ways of the countryside and forest. He is as tall as Raymond, but
has sandy brown hair, is slightly build and of unremarkable appearance.
Not too comfortable in enclosed spaces. Understands English and Welsh as
far as you can tell. He is a forester hired to check out the best route
and provide assistance in navigating the wild Welsh countryside.
Played by Justin Elliott
- Daffyd Y Trifan, a Dominican
friar of Welsh origins and probably the biggest person you've ever seen.
He must stand nearly 7 feet tall and weigh around 300lbs in his friars
habit and sandals. Understands English and Welsh from his participation
in the party's discussions so far.
Played by Dave Scarfe
- Herluin du Pont has the manners
of a courtier and the appearance of a dandy, he is also the smallest
person in the group at 5' 9" and 134lbs. Herluin's youth, his blue eyes and
straight dark hair make him a favourite of the ladies. He is very
skillful in handling his mounts. Understands English, Norman French and
Welsh.
Played by David Stengle
- Owain ap Daffyd is obviously of
Welsh descent. At 6' 1" Owain is a little taller than Raymond, but with
a lighter build. He has straight brown hair and blue-grey eyes and
displays the skills of a travelling entertainer but can take care of
himself with the light sword at his waist. Owain seems to understand
English, Norman French and Welsh.
Played by Ed
- Raymond of Northleach, is an
Anglo-Norman Noble. He is a little under 6' tall and just shy of
200lbs, with a dark complexion, wavy brown hair and brown eyes.
Understands English, Norman French and Welsh.
Played by Paul Perano
- Wilfred of Stoke is of Saxon
stock and has the good looks prized by the ladies being 6' tall and slim
with curly auburn hair and hazel eyes. He has the long fingers and
good voice of a travelling musician, well able to play the harp he
carries. Seems to understand English, Norman French and Welsh.
Played by Paul Perano
- Gareth is the half Welsh son of a minor fief holder in the Welsh
Marches. He's short and of stocky build with shoulder length brown hair
and the darker features of his Welsh mother. Clad in a gambeson with
cuir-bolli reinforcements and wielding a lance and shield he cuts a fine
figure mounted on a horse of good breeding.
Played by Justin Elliott
- John of Shrewsbury is short, slim, young man clad in a well made
robe and cloak. He carries a large scrip whose bulky contents seem to be
the plant material he gathers as he walks the tracks of Wales. He frequently
makes notations in a leather bound book with a large clasp that he carries
with him.
Played by John Eickemeyer
Minor Characters - Game 2
- Turstan, confidant and scribe to Master William.
- William of Chester, Master Vinter and patron of the group
forming at the sign of the White Hart.
Player Characters - Game 2
- Gawaine is hulking brute of a man with a reddish brown beard. He is
slow and careful in his speech, taking time to answer, as if he possessed
addled wits. He carries a sword and bow and has a donkey to carry his few
possessions. Gawaine's battered face speaks of a life of hard knocks both
given and received. His English speech is heavily accented with the lilt of
Welsh but conveys his meaning to those who listen closely.
Played by Olivier
Decome
- Gareth of the Wood seems like a spectre of the night, his black
hair and eyes and dour brooding visage give an impression of ice cold
hatred of something or someone. His worn clothes indicate a hard life
on the edge of society and it looks as though he has been living rough
prior to his arrival at the tavern. His only bright moments occur when he
turns his face upon a pretty wench and a smile breaks the blackness of his
beard. He too carries a bow and toys with a sharp knife at the table.
Played by Bernard
Kaufmann
- John Gaunt is a small man in his late 20's barely 5' tall. His
weathered features show him to be a man of the countryside. His brown eyes
have a friendly look to them and his black, curly hair pushes out from
beneath a feathered cap set jauntily upon his head. He too carries a bow
but in place of the dagger that Gareth wields at the table John plays upon
a flute, producing a merry tune that echoes country dances and holy days.
Played by Sebastian Rogers
