3. Rev. Michael Schenck (John ) was born in 1744. He died in 1816.
A Mennonite minister was accompanied by brother Daniel in 1795 migrated to Centre County.
!purchased land in 1796 from heirs of General John P. DeHaas (who bought it previously from Ensign Augustus Stein of the English Army. Stein had acquired the same as a land grant in payment for his military service during the French & Indian War).
Michael married Mariah Maynard in 1770.
They had the following children:
