1756 is when Henry shows up on the Martic Township Tax Rolls in Lancaster County known as Henry Pletscher b1756 d1803 on DAR Patriot Index 1966 PVT PA A newspaper clipping from around Howard shows a group of women form DAR surrounding a plaque listing Henry Pletcher 1756-1803.
Charles Pletcher said that he was killed when he was kicked in the chest by a horse. He also said Henry's Father is Michael as opposed to Martin which LDS AF says.
About the year 1792 Henry was left widower. In 1795, Henry Pletcher, his brother Samuel and his Mother-in-law came from Lancaster County with Rev. Michael Schenk and located in the vicinity of Howard.
Purchased four hundred acres of land. Within two years he had cleard twenty acres. this was no small feat at the time! died accidentally in 1803.
