Compact Variable Power Supply

This power supply is designed to power portable computer equipment. Although not a mobile unit itself it can be extremly iseful when one does not have some power supply available to them giving a wide voltage range of 0-24 volts with a maximum current of 5 amps. For such high power it is not easy to make the xfrmr very small but fortunatley we have the flyback converter which allows a smaller xfrmr to supply us with a high power out put while keeping its dimensions relativley small. Therefore the main focus of this page will be on the flyback converter.
